  1. Quite possibly the daftest rubbish I've read in ages. Congrats! Do you care to actually try to counter anything I posted? I've noticed that to be one of your critical failings. You disagree with any criticism but you can never say why. Simple. Because it`s rubbish. Why would anybody counter such trash. The bit about Keegan is true. So did Ranieri ... but like KK ... it has no relevance to how things stand now. Neither of them are fit to lace Rafa's boots. So if KKs achievement aren't relevant, then presumably none of your historic league form is relevant, so why expect to do well in it this year? When you shoot your own foot, do you go into mourning for it? KK`s achievements are not relevant when discussing which club will win the PL this year. Our historic league wins are relevant because they are actually achievements unlike KK who has won absolutely nothing as a manager. Then again, we're discussing silverware ... so it's not fair of me to expect you to understand.

  4. .....it has only been that way for 3 or 4 years.

  6. Difficult to tell whether you're clueless, on the wind-up or both there. How very dare you! I stand by that statement. Clueless then Arshavin isn't even a midfielder, he doesn't graft particularly hard and on top of that Modric is pretty lightweight. Arshavin would presumably be Keane's replacement should one leave and the other come in. Actually he has played various positions in his career including as an attacking midfielder in the hole. After watching Modric play a lot deeper role in the Euros I am sure we could accomodate both. Blind leading the blind an all that Arshavin seems more ambitious than that.

  9. Let's wait and see Rafa's well into the running of it by now and is unlikely to repeat past errors being the schrewd man that he is. If we hadn't drawn so many at the start of last season we'd have been in the running. Torres and Keane & Co will ensure that that won't happen this year. What past errors would those be? Buying players who aren't good enough? Because he seems ready to spunk big money on Robbie Keane and Gareth Barry. I like those two, especially the former, but I don't think they're going to win you the league by being added to the squad. He's also still adding third rate players like Voronin and this year Degen to his squad... Such players are necessary in any squad. No they aren't. If you want to fill up your squad with players those should at least in some form be good enough to maintain the standard. Otherwise you should rather use youngsters. The fact that Liverpool in fact even gave Voronin some playing time was very much part of why they are so far behind the other top teams. Dortmund fans are "laughing their arse off" (as their former manager Doll would say) how someone could be stupid enough to sign Degen who was an absolute liability to their team. That's why all top clubs have them then? You can only buy what you can afford. We got Degen and Veronin for free to bulk up our squad, not to star in it. Funny how all the mismanaged clubs critisize us ... yet wonder why they lack dept!?! Degen is the one laughing his arse off ... leaving that muppet show to join one of Europe's greatest clubs. Liverpool's benchmark shouldn't be other 'mismanaged clubs' but Manchester and Chelsea who have a far better depth in quality. As I said as long as Liverpool actually field those players in the Premierleague they don't have to complain about not getting the right amount of results to compete for the title. You're right about Degen being the happy one though. The job he got should have been totally out of his reach. Manchester and Chelsea have better dept simply because they have endless funds. Simple really. So if you can't match them financially one simply has to put together the best you can with limited funds, which is what we've done/are doing. There are far worse players than Degen playing in first 11s in the PL. He will only be a squad player at Liverpool. Arbeloa/Carra and perhaps Finnan are ahead of him.

  11. Liverpool won't struggle at all. Everton, Villa and Spurs will be no harder than they are any other year. Same crap, different year.
  12. So you think Liverpool around 11th then?
  13. I don't, whilst Rafa holds on to 4th, it gives us a stationary point to aim for. You don't really count. Exactly my point. Sure ... whatever you say.
  14. Everton could have had them last season, just the sheer amount of cash they are throwing around tends to save them, but probably 4th. You 'could have' had us last season ... but guess what ... you didn't. No we couldn't. I think you need to find that Reality place you were on about. You 'could have' ... the same as Neverton 'could have' ... but didn't. Reality wouldn't suit you. I don't think you've even visited Reality, never mind welcomed people to it, if you think we were in the same boat as Everton last season. Where do you think we'll come this season then? Champions League winners? Is English your second language? I think you'll finish around 10th. You won't win the CL.

He took a while to get used to the English league and it took time to undo the shambles Houllier left it in. I consider the amount of rotation he does to be a mistake and I think he was too slow in realizing that we were short a bit of grit in the prem. That appears to be changing though. This will be his last year, so he better get it right. You wish.

  22. Everton aren't vastly better than anyone. I think Liverpool will win it. Do you seriously think that? When's the last time you even mounted a decent challenge? I really can't see yous winning it with Rafa in charge. Yeah, I do. We've closed the gap every season under Rafa and the backbone of the squad has a lot of experience and been together a while. Couple that with a few useful PL players like Barry and Keane that we'll pick up from small clubs and the fact that Rafa is unlikely to over-rotate again ... I think we're in with a shout. The last time we mounted a challange doesn't really matteras it's history anyway. I'd be really pleased if we run it to the wire.

  24. Isn't this a bit 'foreign' for you lot ... shouldn't you be watching something more 'local'?
  25. Never said it wasn`t, Einstein. I simply implied that the poor chap never learns anything ... which is clearly the case.
