Its all very well having strength in depth in the midfield, but not when we're having to shift our best players of that position into others (out wide or up front) leaving the old, shit ones to play at the heart of the team
-
Boro and WBA both win 3-1 from 1-0 down
-
Hughtons said Carroll is defo in the squad, might not start though.
-
Christ, i didn't realise he was 32
-
In one whole position

You should be changed back after bumping this thread again

I have a book of famous football quotes and Keegan has his own chapter So does SBR, actually.

It was comical when he tried to Cruyff turn after the first couple of minutes and the ball was left at least 2 meters away from him, with him facing the wrong way
-
He was shit first half, with the exception of a couple of moments. He was great in the second half though, held up play very well, made a lot of good, intelligent passes and general play, was unselfish, determined, gave it his all and nearly scored a great goal within the first few minutes of the second half. Hes only 18, you can't expect him to be perfect, but as far as kids debuts go, that was a very good one.

And leicester are supposed to be one of the better...

Cardiff away next game, that'll be a real test of where we're at -
I was surprised he hadn't broken by the end of the second half
-
It was clear Ranger was going to be good at holding things up after that incident at Muswell hill
-
Rangers looked quite good so far this half
-
Gone off with the argentina squad, apparently
-
Huth and Tuncay to stoke for 10mil combined, apparently. Huth's definitely had a medical, anyway.
-
Barton and A.C should be back by then, at least we don't play until monday
-
This really shows how appauling our squad depth is
-
It's a shame we signed the only striker to have ever missed a shot.
-
15mil in the bank for him

really? I just love us winning, assuming we aren't dismantled by the fat man upstairs I think this season will be enjoyed lot more than recent seasons of at best averageness and at worst utter shite It still hasn't sunk in that we're playing in the championship, none of these matches seem like real league games to me yet, i'm not sure how to explain it, it seems strange going in to games wholeheartedly expecting to win. Also I guess there have only been a couple of away fixtures so far, and one of which we played last season anyway. It was quite fun going to Selhurst, though and I guess i'll it'll be pretty normal by the end of the year.

or maybe he was called off of the ball by Nolan... goalscorers do not normally duck down on a cross... Mm, probably is a bit to much to expect from Ameobi
-
I'd take Smith, Guthrie, Nolan and Barton over him tbh cover Tbh I dont think we'll need him, I doubt more than 3 of them will ever be injured at one time, and we'll have a kid who can come in to accompany the other one. Or in an ideal world we'll get a good central midfielder in who isn't on a kings wages. Added to the fact that hes now absolutetly shit and simply gives the ball away, at least Smiths passing has been very good so far this season.
