NUFC not for sale + Hughton awarded 18 month deal
JonGoodwyn replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
He pretty much admits that if they do invest it'll be the bare minimum - Hughton will clearly never get any of his so called first or even second choices -

Stadium name row reaches Commons A Tyneside MP has tabled a Commons motion calling for Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley to reconsider selling the naming rights to St James' Park. The plans, designed to maximise the club's commercial revenues, were announced last week. But David Clelland, MP for Tyne Bridge, said the name had been "an integral part of the city since 1892". He said the stadium was symbolic of the game and its supporters' loyalty. The club has declined to comment. Mr Ashley's ownership of Newcastle, which he bought for £134m in 2007, has proved a turbulent period. His popular decision to hire Kevin Keegan for a second spell as manager ended badly when Keegan walked out after eight months in a disagreement over transfers. He was later awarded £2m damages at a constructive dismissal hearing. The 2008 season finished with the Magpies being relegated from the Premier League. Last week, Mr Ashley ended his attempt to sell the club when a deal with businessman Barry Moat fell through. -

I do like RGs, although the new ones aren't so good. I love the ones from the 70-80s though - I have a yellow rg550 which plays fantasticly, looks great and sounds great. I've also got a nice cream US strat like Toms which is well worth the money. Would love to get my hands on a Jem777VBK but they didn't make to many of them and anyone who does have one would probably never sell it - i've never seen one for sale anyway

Campbell keen on Newcastle deal Sol Campbell Campbell won 73 caps for England from 1996-2007 Sol Campbell has revealed he in interested in joining Newcastle. The 35-year-old former England defender left League Two side Notts County last month after only one appearance and is now trying to find another club. "Newcastle are a big club and could be heading back to the Premier League," he told ESPN Soccernet. "It appeals." Campbell, who left Portsmouth in May, cannot join another team until County release his registration, which is the subject of ongoing negotiation. The Meadow Lane club are refusing to release Campbell's registration so he can sign for another club until he agrees on a "statement of departure". Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor says County are keen to stop Campbell discussing matters relating to the club's ownership. Campbell, who left County less than a month into a five-year deal, has been training with former employers Arsenal and is considering taking his case to a Football League tribunal. He added: "I have been approached by several clubs, and yes, it is correct to say that Newcastle are one of them. "People might be surprised to hear me say that I would be very interested in a move there, but I have my reasons. "I have spoken with Gordon Taylor and he will impress upon the League the urgency of the case and try to make a tribunal hearing a priority. If we can sort it all out at the tribunal I would hope to be playing within weeks from now. "I am training every day with Arsenal, feel fit - as fit as ever - and now I really need some matches. But, to sort out the mess at Notts County, a Football League tribunal seems to be the only way out."

There is a geordie connection with that woman in the advert telling her son to move his "scoota" Oh aye true...i just thought i read soemthing saying it was prohibited now, i must be wrong. In that case id plump for Carling...havnt they got a big contract with St James already? Everton have Chang as well - some european countires, like France, have a ban so when they play in Europe they have to cover it up

Harewoods back, Enriques in the squad. Ranger and Jonas also both back. With Colocinni unlikely and Taylor a possibility. Not quite as bad, then.
-
Because it might help you get a job?
-
So we now have 1 fit Center back, no left back and 1 fit striker. Squad to small my arse.
-
Doesn't he have a different shirt on before and after?

That's a bit of a random topic for a new poster to jump in to a forum with... ... unless they're a wum from another team... you're not are you? Have a look at his other posts

The New AiC singer is still awesome, though

Blackburn 1-0 up against Arsenal already

I'm sure most people are delighted we're 3 points clear, and a draw isn't the end of the world, but Bristol were there for the taking, and we should have won comfortably, regardless of the penalty decision - we really should be 5 points clear.

Its just not going to be our day, is it.
