Lack Of Fund Next Season Won't Be The Worst Thing For Newcastle

how do you define "silly money". With hindsight ? smith, vidulka, and for his contributions to the circus, barton....for a start -
Oi, Mongo, PAY ATTENTION I had not mentioned the previous owners in this thread until we began this tired old debate. It was simply this "There is no benefit in telling people you're loaded if you're about to buy something; they'll only jack up the price" You're pointedly ignoring that. Again. And again. And again. I am fully aware we had great times under the previous regime, I also am fully aware they were responsible for the bad times too. You seem unable to admit their failings and seem unaware that everybody is appreciative of the good times. but carry on gnashing your falsies and furiously hammering your keyboard with your forehead. I've said on many occasions they made mistakes and agreed with them when specified. However. They remain the ONLY owners who have attempted to put this club at the level it ought to be at, and no amount of daft name calling by you or anything else is going to change that. I'm pointing out the facts, and those are the facts. "Facts" that are entirely disassociated with this thread. No son. What I say is a stonewall fact. We were the 5th most qualified team for europe, had the 5th highest average league position, filled an expanded stadium that previous regimes had failed to rebuild and update for over 80 years, attracted thousands of "we'll support you evermore" supporters back to the club that had deserted it for years, broke the world transfer record [for Noelie's benefit as he appears to think we haven't tried to win the league or bought top players since 1927], increased the value of the club from one which could not raise 1.25m quid into one which became worth around 200m. But according to fuckwits like you. It was "embarrassing". BOOOOOOOOORING!!!!!!! change the fucking record will ya? the only thing embarrassing on here is you LM, enough already every thread you post in devolves into you spouting 1) the same tired assertions about "how much better off we were under the old regime (thanks captain obvious) 2) racist bullshit thinly veiled as nationalist pride/concern read a book, get a fresh perspective.....

They should try to go back to making decent episodes. hmmm...its not that I dislike the program, and to my knowlegde its not been screened here recently anyway, but they just seem to have a list of people they want to upset and they go out of their way to do it....isn't it all a little bit contrived? as opposed to other TV programming ?

could you please explain what the case for this particular kind of racism is? Genuine question. please refer to the sentence which preceeded that one, while there may be a case to be made for it, it won't be made by me IMO he should be fired or get a new job that wouldn't conflict with his "sensibilities", would it make such a flashy news story if he wasn't muslim?
-
no, no, you're wrong. It's his "human right"......I expect the left wing loonies on here will defend this for all they are worth. Racists. Edit. Note the comment about Canada ..... "Canada has flirted with allowing Sharia Law zones to be setup with seperate Muslim justice" the fact you guys are holding up FOXNEWS as a source says it all really..... , no agenda there.... Irrespective of source, the fact remains................... I'm not touching this argument with a 10 ft pole, case to be made for and against this particular instance

As far as Canada flirting with sharia law, there was an attempt to have sharia law instituted in a municipality around Toronto but it was quashed.

the most famous wreck on Superior hmmm.....link won't display properly

Lake Superior...more of an Inland sea than a lake really, Lake Ontario is thsmallest or second smallest. I grew up on the shores of Lake Ontario in St. Catharines, any RUSH fans on here? Lakeside park is a killer song and home to most of my underage drinking debacles. but I digress, Superior is HUGE , if your spread all the water out evenly you could cover the entire North and South American continents to a depth of one foot (10% of worlds fresh water)

busy at work st the moment will post later....... ...alright then, LM I wasn't insinuating anything, I merely pointed out that your limits of freedom of speech.....are not the same as the legislation in place in the UK or Canada. I AGREE with you that people should not have the right to say anything they want ( please refer to previous posts for examples), unfortunately people protesting about the involvement of the armed forces in conflicts they don't agree with whilst burning the national flag doesn't make the list....if you think it should, I suggest canvassing your elected official to see if he/she can do anything about it. PS...have a nice day... very American shittest WUM attempt EVAR ! I know yanks can't spell, but I've never seen that one before that's because you're too old.... very immature. no i think it has more to do with your age than your immaturity, hard to keep up with what those crazy kids are up to these days..... ok, ok......my apologies, lets bury the hatchet so to speak.....i should have spelled it EVAAAAR, as it is a phoenetic slang

indeed, my comment wasn't meant as a slight btw.....just remarking on the difference between there and here. for instance it would take you 24 hours of straight driving to make it from toronto to the border of Manitoba. Or it took me 19 hours of driving to drive 2/3 of the distance across (Smithers to Trail) BC.

If you mean the English Channel then the two meet at Dover. If you mean the Irish Sea (which is the sea off the whole west coast of mainland England) to the North Sea on the the east coast then its about 60-70 miles at its narrowest point, which, ironically/coincidentally/dleberately, is where Hadrian chose to build his wall, at the narrowest point of the British Isles no sorry, i mean from the southern most point to the northern most point
-
my sister sent me the link, she is taking a sabbatical year next year and was thinking of hiking the path of the wall. So I looked it up on google earth, I am constantly blown away by the geographical scale of Britain, it's so much smaller than what I am used to. How long would it take to drive from the channel to the north sea?
