Just watched one of our homegrown Aussie football shows, and, as you would assume, the talk turned to some of our overseas players. The topic was Lucas Neil and the fact that he isn't with a club and isn't likely to go back to the Hammers. Now, don't worry, I'm not suggesting he comes to us ... but I do think that the fact he's looking for a club (and that Everton and Villa have been liked to him) might make life easier for us with keeping Mr Taylor.

At least this makes it perfectly clear/makes some sense of why they might be selling, for example, Steven Taylor in the next few days. However, I would appreciate actually hearing something from the club rather than the newspaper.

Now that we've won a few, Ashley def. won't sell. He sees us now making promotion and therefore upping the price of the club. But he won't invest, either--therefore decreasing our chances of promotion. A fucking Catch-22 that doesn't need to happen. Hope I'm wrong.

Regarding Hughton, what really impresses me is that at no point has he become a mouthpiece for the regime at the club. At every stage he's been honest and simply said that he's been left in the cold regarding the sale of the club and players (which is a shitty situation to be in). And he also says we shouldn't sell anymore and should buy. The opposite of JFK. All props to Chris, I say.
