I mentioned it to David Kelly, the Richard Steeles on Haverstock Hill was my local for 5 years. Was a great pub, mix of celebrities, coke dealers, local nutters and fashionistas. The craic was always good. It was also the pub in the film Goal when the lad goes out for a drink with Anna Friel.

The failing game and the looting of the people.

Funny that, I was talking yesterday to a mate about the rise and rise of the art market. Depends on what sort of collapse will occur. If a global financial collapse brings about total societal collapse then art could be useless. For a while anyway. -

The lesson of world war 2 was buy art and steal property. Gold is for mugs. -

The solution is quite straightforward anyway Parky. Relative wages in Greece, Spain, Portugal etc have to fall 20 to 30% compared to German wages. This creates the same effect as currency devaluation as it increases competitiveness as well as reducing spending. Flexible labour markets was once viewed as the key problem in the Southern EU economies. That was untill the crisis, when this sort of argument was dismissed as based on the 'now defunct anglo-saxon capitalist model'. The economic reality has not gone away. This is going to hurt.

I agree Osbourne cant even turn a calculator on, that s why. Brown did forecasts scribbled on bog paper whilst having a shit and got them about right.

Resigned as Chairman of FA now as well as 2018 bid. Sounds to me like there was sneaky politics at work.

To sell papers? Obviously. Bunch of twats the lot of them, sky were reporting that he 'accused' the spanish and russians of bribery. I dont think you can make an accusation of bribery in a private conversation.

Growing some herbs on my balcony. Think i put too many Basil seeds in, how many for a pot about 40cm by 20cm?
-
The conversation was recorded so this was a set-up. Why are the Daily Mail and Melissa Jacobs trying to set-up the leader of our bid for 2018? This was (again) a private conversation that didnt need to become public. Its interesting as it reveals some gossip and some insights into potential corruption but why does this have to happen?

The lad used Trophy's work to make his point, which is a bit off like. Am going through something similar myself at the minute, someone accused our team of something which is blatantly not true but basically means we werent delivering what we should. We are and ahead of time but this twat in the UK has let it be known he thinks otherwise. Am going to fuck him in a meeting on wednesday.

But if he plans to spend the tv revenue on players rather than capital outlay, then he's going to have to loan the club more money to cover the losses the TV revenue was going to cover. It's nonsensical. I know, evey time i come up with an idea to explain it, i realise i'm contradicting myself. I suspect he did this deliberately.
-
It will take 5 years to break if he plans to spend some of the increased revenue which as someone pointed out, isnt a capital outlay. I think (but am not sure obviously) that no capital outlay on players means he wont be taking funds from outside NUFC to fund purchases, which i believe he would had to have done in January. If he plans to use the increased revenue from TV/prem etc, then it will take some time to break even. Its about the only way any of this makes any sense. Doesnt mean its true though.

I beg to differ. Am 37 this year, i reckon 5 years ago i would have kicked you into a k-hole and ripped your mind out.
