Bloody hell Very brave going in where there’s Orca’s. Saw them up close in Florida in the 90’s (sea world - I know), but I would be terrified meeting them on a kayak. Saw this video the other day with whales which would have been magical.

No thankfully as we were later informed of this sign at Druridge Bay I managed about half a mile standing up today. Im not too fussed by it tbh, if I’d remembered to take dry clothes today I would probably have jumped in. It’s deffo more of a mind game thing so the sooner I’ve broke my (not a) duck, the better.

The Kayak (inflatable) is coming soon. More for me and the Mrs on our next break away. Btw, she is the normal one in the family whilst the rest of us have varying degrees of ADHD. God knows I couldn’t live with me if I was normal. Sea kayaking looks mint but it would have to be a very very calm day before I tried it. I have no idea how people stand up on surf boards.

So Druridge Bay country park today on the Lake with 5 adults, 3 kids, 2 paddle boards and a picnic. ”Dad, this is your best mid life crisis yet”. Spent all day there and what a cracking day it was. I IMPLORE you all to give this a go if you haven’t already done it. (You can hire them there as well).
