  1. Mine is of the Sl-ea-puz in Ea-st Bo-ah-ldon, CT's lo-ah-cul. Just under two mile from Stayuhdium. Ah, I wondered where it was. Maybe it's just me, but it's a strange looking building for a pub. Used to be the ols station masters house in the victorian days when the station at east boldon used to be a very large beautiful victorian station. I'm confused. I was in there about October time after I'd b-ea-n to Soonlun dogs, however I had a brief fling with a lass from Whitburn and we went there for some scran, that was about 2000, so it wasn't no station house then. It's been a pub for at least 10 years. By the way CT what the fuck is that stone cock thing at Whitburn, what is it's purpose always wanted to know, I can see it from my seat in Level 7. ....and finally if Mickey Grayuh's accent is 100% mackem, and Oz's is 100% geordie. What percent would you say yours would be to the Newcastle ear. Eighutea - Twentea? Victorian days I said. even in Boldon the victorian days finished before 2000. Had me confused with the stone cock thing but I assume you mean the cleadon water tower on cleadon hills. Quite amazing what you can see from level 7 and consequently where you can see st james from. East Boldon is quite a posh place with house prices ranging from 180,000 to a few million at the extreme, so the average villager over the years has been well educated (exceptions to every rule and therefore fairly well spoken. Not the slightest hint of mackem. However when you get to Boldon colliery the accent changes to Jarrow'ish. I do in all seriousness have quite a phobia of the common makem accent to the extent that some people have with nails down a blackboard. Nar I wind people up on here about South Tyneside and the accent there, NJS would knock me out I think how angry he gets when I phonetically ab-ew-se South Shields accents. It's far more geordie than mackem. The Boldon accent though East Boldon, I worked with a kid there who's second job was like a tour guide at the SOS or some match events cunt, he was a canny lad actually good looking kid lived East Boldon all his life, and tbh didn't have a hint of mackem in his accent. One stop on the metro you get to Seaburn, walk in The Windmill (is that pub we trashed in 97) there and they all sound like Wearside Jack it's mental. You do know that good looking males is quite a common theme in your posts. Just saying
  2. 4 of his 5 failures were forwards....needs to cut that out tbh CT Aye, but a good chunk of the 51 successful were forward as well. Noticable how much goes down the right these days as opposed to the left. Also lots of that play inside their half. Its clever stuff like that chalkboard.

  5. off topic but talking about Bechams wonder goal.... Can anyone remember Rob Lees wonder goal that was disallowed because the ref pulled the game back to give us a free kick. I have a shit memory so cant remember the details but we were defending the gallowgate and Rob Lee broke up an attack somewhere between the 25 yard box and the 40 yards. He then took a step or two, saw their gialie off the line and launched a shot from way inside our half that went it. Just as he kicked it I think he got tackled so the ref blew up and ruined what probably surpassed Beckhams strike. And while Im at it there was once a horrible situation with Rob Lee that probably looked worse from the gallowgate. He was tackling near the touchline at the leazes end and got charged out of play. He landed backwards on the side hoardings and looked liked he snapped hi spine. It was horrific for a few minutes til he got up and got on with it.
  6. Nowt wrong with Taxi door lugs. Considered quite sexy in some parts of the world.
  7. Cant be arsed tbh. Said enough unless you want to talk about the original post, getting a season ticket on your own.
  8. To be fair tho he almost got a poke in the eye Looked to me in the clip I saw as though he got a slap on the end of the nose. That can be extremely painful, really.
  9. Eh, Tiotes first touch is always the Scott Parker pirouette do you watch Newcastle? Thought you had me on ignore The pirouette is guarding the ball which is fine by me, but he's always looking to move forward. Did you not see him against Wigan when he collected the ball and ploughed forward through everyone, including Barton , til he was brought down.
  10. Indeed, showed that to my mate Lucy who replied with thankfully i'm not the stereotypical i.t type...play sports and everything Well your forgiven but the statement still sticks for most Ive met. Managed a new sytem changeover once which was a right ball ache with lots of very old data stored in a crappy old way transferred to oracle systems and rolled out to a 60 branch network. Spent about a year constantly dealing with all these quiet programmers and other it sorts. After the job we hired the King Neptune, put on a karaoke and invited about 30 of them and us for a night out. Really funny seeing all these quiet flowers, bursting into life, getting pissed, dancing on chairs then vomiting. Canny crowd tbf
  11. Bollocks. Geordies cant ski. I didnt say I could, said I was away. Am the bloke who rolls down
  12. No wonder your so moody lately Was 13 - 8 when this thread started which was easily at least a stone overweight. Now 14 - 7 and at my age all this extra fat aint good Had a few eye of the tiger moments in the last week but they usually come late at night when the stuffing my face deed has already being done for the day. Its like that last fag at night before the day you pack in. Have also had serious trouble on the man boob front, particularly bearing in mind the arrival of a new breast feeding child. The little buggers had a few attempts when my guards being down. However tomorrow is going to be the day and Im even considering giving weight watchers another bash. We should have some sort of toontastic biggest loser comp for January. (That actually starts again next week and is a great motivator if your going through the pain yourself. reccomend it) 15 minutes fast walking? will return once the blisters go
  13. I seem to remember that Battys first touch used to always be sideways or backwards where as Tiote quite often is attack minded. So Tiote for me.

  15. This should be good Something tells me you wont back that up
  16. Dont know much about his background but having a quick google it says he got 19 goals in 92 appearances over three years for Coventry. Serious question. Why did we buy him and why do people think he will come good. Its not as though he was on a fine streak of form???? Needless to say good luck to him if he starts and hope he gets on the score sheet.
  17. Leon Best backed to be a success for Toon http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-u...72703-27929284/
  18. Sunderland after him now and Bruce confirming he's spoke to Beckham re a move! Posh Spice in the bridges.... Yes Please.
  19. I missed it. Is it being repeated? its being shown on Stargazing live tonight Recorded that to watch with the bairn. Was it canny or geeky? tbh CT, alittle bit of both. I enjoyed it though. but then I like Dara and Dr Brian and I am really into anything to do with the skies! I was at a mates house the other night out in his conservatory in the dark peering into the sky to try and see Jupiter. All serious like. I went off to get a drink and came back to find hubby zooming in on a local hotel watching people go about their business in their hotel rooms Dirty old bugger. I know what you mean about the dark though. When Ive been in the sticks in Northumberland or Scotland with no man made light the night sky can be amazing.
  20. So hard these days because any sniff of form and a players ability is blown out of all proportion. There should be plenty of contenders that have passed through our doors over the last 10 years. Marcelino springs to mind because Im sure he came in a blaze of glory. Wasnt he out for three years with a broken finger or something. Cant not like David Platt after Italia 90 and that goal and always loved Captain Marvel. Seemed to forever be popping that shoulder out.
