Just had the first batch of chips and would highly reccomend. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and only 3% fat. Also sliced up some pork, marinated it in oyster sauce and soya sauce, lobbed it in for some sticky chinese pork Highly reccomended (shame its just a silly price)

Me mate took great pride in telling me what a great deal he got on the fillet steak from the butcher van that turns up at south shields market. Mothers Australian so thats the beer sorted. Also the majority of the group (please god hope they dont read this) do not have a wide variety of taste in food. The simpler the better. Our lass makes a cracking Lasagne so is leaning towards that and making it an Italian evening

Mrs Tree, me and three other couples decided to play this on the run up to Christmas. Each couple spending a night entertaining the other 3 couples. (I appreciate that some of the more posh'uns on here (yes im looking at you Renton) do this all the time and its just a dinner party) For us lot though who usually just meet up in the pub or go out for meals, it seemed like a good idea for a laugh, four canny nights and 3 free nights out as well as a prize for the winners. The first couple held theirs last night and really set a decent standard (i gave them 9/10) with pate nibblys, home made fishcakes with a chilli sauce, fillet steak then finished off with lemon tart and fresh cream. All this was washed down with a lovely merlot and a firework display! Our turn not til early December but I think that combination is going to be a hard act to follow. Any suggestions for three courses that fit together well and are not over complicated. Want to be able to enjoy the night as well as cook. Good fun though

It seems that staying up this year will put us in a much solider financial footing and we can only hope that then the wallet opens a bit more (still not expecting a return to vast fees or wages mind)

But that is what has been happening since relegation and is continuing to happen. I'm not so sure CT. Not being contary for the sake of it here. Look at our form since we've come up and it's all over the place (as is the league) we're a good or bad run away from relative safety or right back in the shit. Don't get me wrong I've been 'pleasantly surprised' on the whole but the home form in particular against 'fellow strugglers' is a worry. Also, the lack of cover is a big problem or, more specifically the lack of quality in reserve. Smith, Best, Perch et al. We need a bit of luck re: injuries. Regardless of what might happen next, I think its pretty unfair to say we havent made progress since relegation. With regard to our form I think we can all agree that there are quite a few points dropped this season that really shouldnt have been ie Man City, Blackpool etc. I know thats football, but had we taken some of the many chances we missed and bit better luck with referees then we would currently be sitting 2nd or 3rd. I also think its taken Hughton til now to come across his strongest team and style of play. Having spent 18 months relying on Jonas to deliver, we nw have crosses raining in from the right. As always we'll know by Christmas.
