Some brilliant pictures of the match here, particularly the one of Ameobi flying through the air onto the pile on Dont know if anyone knows how to copy and paste, doesnt seem to work for me on their. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20101101/pi...2281670_2203822

An absolute cracking piece that for once seems to actually tell it like it is. I also agree with the overall cautious stance the club are taking in general. An offer has been made and rejected and both sides have agreed to re-negogiate once the season has been played out. Probably a good result for both parties.

Football fans having highs and lows about their chances.....Who'd have thought it!

Must admit Im feeling quite positive about things at the moment. The mad ramblings that used to come from the boardroom seem to have stopped. They have said for some time that they will look at Hughtons contract when this one expires (sound move) They have brought some decent additions into the squad (more than most had hoped for) They have quickly jumped to squash wild speculation ala Shepherd story yesterday. I now look down the road at Sunderland and see a bloated "name" manager leading a bloated squad where the club record signing cant even get on the pitch. Millions thrown away in recent years and still just a bottom to mid table team. From the abyss, we have turned into a Fulham (I know leazes bla bla bla) and now have a tight unit and great spirit at the club. Gone are the days of unnamed players or club sources briefing to the press. It really does seem a happy camp. I think the press are deperately trying to whip up stories about us hence the Hughton flurry last week and the Shepherd talk this week. I still think with a bit of luck and some more clever deals in January we have a good chance of pushing for Europe (And yes Fish I look forward to watching you choke on that signature ) Lets not forget had we been a bit better infront of goal against Blackpool and Stoke not to mention the Man City game and we would be sitting 2nd in the league. Lets just keep re-building the club slowly on solid ground which will only make us even more appealing when the right buyer comes sniffing.

Just watched the full game again. Fucking awesome, especially Nolan and Barton. Nolan just edges motm over Barton for the hat trick but what a performance from Joey. He really does so much in 90 mins and now does it so well. Absolutely loved the pile on for the first goal, tells you everything you need to know about those players.

Even with Ashley in control the club has regained a sense of normality and respect. (down to Hughton) Football has moved on since the good times under Shepherd and I think he would now be a danger to the club. Would rather continue as is and wait for the right owner.

Berfore you waste money on a sparky, have you checked the fuse behind the kitchen ring switch in the circuit box. Each switch in the main board box usually has a fat little fuse behind it and these can quite often blow. Usually about £1 from your local diy shop. I haven't but all the lights for downstairs are on the same curcuit breaker... wouldn't they all be off if it was a blown fuse? Sorry if thats a stupid question but I know nothing about electrics Dont know but I would give the fuses a go first.

I'd give him a 5 year contract and get Nolan lined up to be his assistant when he stops playing. Stability is what we've been missing for years. Totally agree

Talk in the papers last night was that Hughton wants Kerr but the Boardroom want Beardsley promoted from within. Wish they would just let the fucker get on with the job he's doing.

I've just opened the same one. I'm still unsure on what to do. I feel it must be worth renewing given the obvious lack of members. Shy of 4000 I would've thought, and I do want it to work. We wouldn't have attended nusc meetings if not. I'm pleased some questions were answered in the email but there are still lots unanswered. I guess the only way to try and gain the answers is through renewing and then hoping they engage the members more than in the first 7 months since the commitee were elected. Here's hoping, like. I'd be truly suprised if they still have more than 1000
