  1. You've got many layers to you though... No idea what that means so call it a whoosh. I must admit I've put a bit of weight on over Christmas like.
  2. Barely played as a loanee at Monaco, bought by Valencia on the second last day of the window and loaned back to us on the last (or similar). Disappears with an 'injury' for the winter and suddenly resurfaces with the season drawing to a close. There's something very dodgy about the whole business if you ask me. Although I am by nature a cynical man.

    A few tips

Nice one. It's short but a winner's a winner. Another one for Cheltenham. Michael Flips in the Supreme Novice hurdle. Very competitive race so each way, currently trading at around 20/1.
  4. Just for starters, by what measure can you call Bobby Robson a fluke? Fuck me Nah sorry like it's just full of mongs. It appears that you are the mong. The point was about no guarantee that a manager is going to work. IE we all put forward different names, but for various reason some managers just dont work at some times at some clubs. If that's what you meant, that's what you should have said. Either one is an almost entirely meaningless platitude in any case

  6. I'd rather he was. If even a small number of Newcastle fans actually want Dennis Wise as manager then the rot has well and truly set in.
  7. This coniferous cockney-botter is posting the same shit elsewhere I see: Tynetalk these days is largely the dumbest of the dumb. Lawton must be going senile if he's taking opinion from there As I've said I think we'll end up with Poyet. I also suspect it'll be grim. A couple of good months in the third division apart he's done nothing at all in management. It's another managerial disaster in the making.
  8. Customer service is awful and you get short-changed I heard.
  9. Loads won't renew. Actual matchday attendances will depend on the football, but since putting a good team out on a weekend seems quite low on Ashley's list of priorities, the numbers might well give the fuckers nightmares.
  10. I suspect most of the dingbats who believe in 'the plan' don't go to games.
  11. He's in touble on that score, and it's entirely his own fault. 'You've had it worse', I mean christ almighty how fucking pathetic an appeal is that? A hell of a lot of fans are unhappy - that in itself isn't unique but I think the sense of hopelessness is different. I certainly can't remember feeling as bleak about what the future holds as I do now. Not for nearly twenty years anyway. Add in the economic situation and the knowledge that tickets will be generally available on a match-by-match basis for the forseeable future and you've got a guaranteed drop in ST sales. Relegation would obviously seal the deal but sales will be down regardless. If the football stays as bad as it is I can see us getting sub 40k next season on occasion. If they think this 'jam tomorrow' tactic is going to work ad infinitum they're in for a nasty shock I reckon.
  12. Not long ago Eriksson was a realistic target - in fact I think while Roeder was still in temporary charge he seemed to be touting himself for the job. Not an earthly we'd get him now. We're more Ratner tat than crown jewels these days. Falling fast
  13. Even spuds realised that there might just have been a relationship between them being in the relegation zone and their transfer policy. Not sure buying back all the players they'd just sold was the best way to rectify things mind
  14. That's it in a nutshell. Also, Bruce's stock as a manager is probably higher than it's ever been. Would he risk it? I know the story sounds like a 'come and get me' job, but I'd be very surprised if he took it. This job's destroyed a few managers down the years, and with Wise in place it's even more of a challenge than it used to be. They might as well just give it to Poyet for me. I can't stand the cunt, and I don't envisage anything better than us treading water at best for the foreseeable future, but I can't see anything but problems for any manager that isn't comfortable playing second fiddle to Wise. I can't see Steve Bruce having that, and if he or any other manager came in with the idea that they might be able to gain the upper hand when it comes to players in/out I think they'd soon find they were wrong.
  15. I considered putting that Mort quote in your lies thread earlier, as I recalled the gist of what Ashley had said about it. Couldn't find a link for it though. Didn't realise they were so close together mind. Well, close but for the full year I mongtastically overlooked before this edit
  16. That sounds about right. I don't know how the sensible posters have got the patience myself. I doubt it's especially representative of ordinary fans' opinion. Everyone I know who goes is fucking sick
  17. Whenever I read that board I get the impression there are so many old grudges and intra-board agendas that a lot of them can't see the wood for the trees. The number of posters on there bumming Ashley's mob is surprisingly high, and some of the anti-Keegan stuff is fucking shocking.
  18. I bet he wishes now he'd declined this particular scoring opportunity as well as the other one
  19. Here's one of him all grown up He's a dwarf, a dwarf...
  20. I hope the local press remain as sceptical for as long as the bullshitfest continues. Just as an aside, this idea that they didn't undertake due diligence is repeated so often it's now taken as fact. Yet Mort said this in August 2007: I'm not sure I'm entirely convinced by the often-used notion that Ashley bought the club blind, as it were.
  21. That's taken as read I went to three or four reserve games last season and didn't see Forster do a lot wrong like. And obviously Krul really impressed in the senior outing he got. I must say I'll still be bricking it if Harper did get an injury and we're in a relegation scrap with two novice 'keepers to choose from. There'd be huge pressure on them, they'd be constantly crowded and bullied on corners, and if they did make a daft rick it could knack their confidence.
  22. Forster was on the bench against Man City, then Krul v the tramps, then back to Forster for West Brom. Not sure what to read into that like.
  23. Yep. I remember him guesting on some match and effectively confirming it. Said he'd love the job but it was 'the wrong time' (the aftermath of Keegangate).
  24. I hope he ends up alright. However I hope the bullshitting cunt never comes anywhere near the club again. Not that it matters, as they'll replace him with another fucking puppet.
