  1. ****BREAKING NEWS**** NUFC's new home shirt for next season
  2. They are all pretty vile, i especially don't like the liverpool one
  3. I didn't realise Lovenkrands was back in that case Harper Beye Saylor Bassong Edgar Butt Spiddy Guthrie Lovenkrands Owen Carrol
  4. Enrique deffinately if hes fit, he is really quick as to the team Harper Beye Saylor Bassong Enrique Butt Spiddy Duff Viduka Owen Carrol
  5. He was at the funeral of the oil workers lost in the helicopter crash. Front row, of course. Knew them personally no doubt the fucking bloke makes me sick, not one person in this country voted that Piece of Shit into power, there should of been an election the moment Blair stepped down
  6. true but it only needs someone getting forward with a football brain to slide balls through to owen and martins thats something we don't have atm
  7. Wouldn't most people come down on the GNER? which wouldn;t be effected by engineering works at stanstead? still good info danny
  8. He's on about row in front not tier. Anyway, while I havent fallen, when I've jumped as we've scored (not often this season I agree), I've regularly twatted my legs off the seat in front. Knacks as well. Edit : I fail to see why you can't have standing with a bar in front of you. Not to get drinks served, just a metal one to stop you moving back/forward. I fell over in the middle of a fucking tier at the way agame to Ipswich a few years back, there where more of us in there than should of been, nobby scoored, we all jumped up and I fell over into the row below man did i feel like a fucking prat
  9. That is my worry, even though i'd risk it just to get Nolan out the team, its true that Barton in the past has taken a while to get back to match fitness. Althouh was it Villa this season when he returned from injury or suspension i can't remember and he looked pretty good straight away? all true, but Big Al himself says he has upped the tempo and duration of training, that to me signifies that training before hand was abit of a joke and and explains the shocking lack of fitness displayed by some of our players, hopefully they can get some of the injured players back onto the training pitch and get them fit i'd take a barton able to run around than the current midfield options we have
  10. I think he would, simply because he actually has a bit of drive about him, as well as the desire to make things happen. You can't fault Butt's attitude but he just doesn't have it anymore, and he's having to do things that he shouldn't because those around him aren't good enough as well as aren't showing any willing at all to take responsibility. Yes Mr. Nolan, I'm looking at you. This is it, his drive, energy and aggression alone puts him a mile ahead of Nolan trundling about doing fuck all and whilst as Alex says his actual scoring record isn't great he looks as if he will at least try and get one! And if he plays he will make the forwad runs, he will try some passes and look to make things happen which means Butt who is incapable of it can stop having to try as the rest of them bottle it. I think Butt is finished as a prem player, but for this season he can do a job with Barton, but when he's with the likes of Nolan he ends up having to be the playmaker! so keep Butt to clean up behind barton, play him just in front of the back 4 as a classic DM and leave barton to boss the midfield with duff and jonas his wide men? (I'm just using names, not who I actually think is any good) Assuming Big Al didn't want a 3 man attack, or indeed 3 man defence again, then certainly away from home i'd go Butt as DM and Barton to get us going in the middle. At home though, we may have to go for it sometimes with more attackign lineups, whether it be Barton and Guthrie or something involving 3 attackers etc. If Barton is fit enough though, i'd chuck him into a relegation fight! Fair comment away from home like, so at home something like (flat back 4, take your pick, its a shame we can't find a place for S taylor as he has looked a different player when bombing up the wing) with Duff, Barton, Jonas in the middle of the park and Martins (assuming he overcomes his groin injury) Owen and Carrol I don't like strola, I never have done, so he would never be in my side, I would jiggle players and formations around but he would never pull the shirt on in my team
  11. My take on the "classic" Wimbledon side was that their aim was to get the 90 mins over with as quickly as possible with the least possible time for the other team to try and play football - that attitude lives on with Stoke imo (as well as Bolton under Allardyce). Its true, against good footballing sides the longer they can have the ball out of play the better for them and reducing the game to dead balls kicks and throw ins is a good way of time wasting. Not that we are in any way a good footballing side, but i think with even half those 10 mins back we might have created a chance, you never know! we had 1 shot on target before carrolls header, I wasn't holding my breath for a 2nd until the goal went in Well, shite as we were (and by god we were bad!) we did have the odd chance, Owen had maybe a halfchance with a header, there was Owen's pullback into the box which i think a defender cleared for a corner and if Shola was anything but shite he would have chested the ball and had a great chance in the box first half and a volley/half volley in the box second half. I just wish one of Shola's had fell to Owen instead! I'm sure the stats at the end of the game had us as 8 shots on goal, 2 shots on target, 1 goal which for 95mins against a team like stoke is shocking to be fair Its totally shocking i agree, just if Shola wasn't shite there would be two more on target there and one at least a goal! But terrible as he is, if we go down this season its mainly about midfield creativity and home games against shite teams where we've lost points. Agreed, the thing thats infuriating is most people on here have been savvy enough to recognise the fact we need a creative midfielder and seemed to be contented with Bartons arrival and wanted the defence looking at we need (were not going to get it like) a major overhaul in the summer
  12. he probably would of done a job for you boys

  16. The thing is, we had 1 shot on goal before Carrolls header, everytime we had the ball the defence where firing up field to strola, I can only assume the idea was for him to nod it back down towards Owen/Martins who would take the ball on the run We are skipping out our midfield because whenver they get it, they make an arse of it
  17. Thing is, you read it and it all seems so simple and yet........Fatty and the Mockney wankers have followed his own business approach, bring in the cheapest, shittest staff and tie their hands as you know they are gonna fuck off to McDonalds in 4 weeks time anyway
  18. Usually I applaud both Beye and Bassong as the only players that seem to give 100% but, I felt that Bassong look nervous on the ball and Beyes usual excellent covering and tracking back where missing, as soon as he got the ball he squirted it straight to Taylor who was having the worst game I think I've seen him in (ok he didnt go missing like Duff/Owen/Strola/Nolan, but he was just desperate)
  19. Taylor had a fucking shocker like, as did butt, actually no point singling names out, even Bassong and Beye had off days
  20. I think he had a hamstring injury when he went, either way i wish someone would hamstring the cunt permanently
  21. like the majority of our starting 11
  22. It's not so much ice baths (the evidence for them doing much is a bit dubious at best - although that's clearly part of the club malaise) as that he's had to crack down on players out on the town that's annoying. Steve Waugh swore by them in terms of extending his career but he could just be a masochist. I hear what your saying, but for me personally, the difference having an ice bath and not having one, on how it makes the following day feel, means I'll keep using them (i play sport 5 days a week) and if still hurts the day after if I don't have one, I walk round like I've been bummed, and at 32 I've noticed a difference in the lenght of time and distance I can run for
  23. Sorry for misreading your post, but there's no excuse to have a go at me and make me look like a big-headed prick when all I was trying to do was shed light on something. In future I will remember that you are the fucking oracle and keep well clear. Well I for one am pleased he took the time to explain it, as all this financial bollocks confuses the fuck out of me
  24. I play rugby for fun, for a 5th team, and ice baths for us are cumpulsory, why weren't they for newcastles fucking 1st team prior to shearer coming? yet another glimpse into the running of newcastle and its not surprising we are where we are when things like this and not eating together is happening
  25. +1 Just another step on the long road to the Championship. I made that comment drunk, but looking at it in the cold light of day, we struggle in the air, they are likely to play collo and for a big lad he doesnt have struggle clearing the lines from high balls, might be better playing geremi back there, atleast he can head the ball
