I seriously can't believe there's no interested parties. Whether there are any willing to pay anything like what Ashley is after is another matter. I was talking about this yesterday and I've come to the conclusion he doesn't even want to sell, it's a smokescreen to spend sweet fuck all this window and he's learnt nothing from last season and believes he can get the club promoted on the cheap (in terms of players and management). it certainly looks that way NUFC is a huge draw to potential investors, but thanks to Fat Freddy the books are fucking appaling and people are walking away FS was only doing (badly) what other PL clubs were doing...Going into debt to build stadia and acquire players. If I'm buying a car, and the price is agreed, I've looked at it, expressed an interest to buy it, and then the seller takes the seats out..... do you think that car is now worth exactly the same as before? this is an indication of 1 of 2 things 1) the sale of the club is concluded and the new owners have given their blessing 2) there is no longer a formal bid for the club Actually its an indication of 1 of 3 things, number 3 being a shit analogy... We have a large overdraft and running costs that are above our income. Selling an asset reduces the overdraft and narrows the gap between costs and income. How is that anything like buying a car??? Let me explain in real simple terms, the club is valued at £100 by the fat lad, that includes all player contracts, overdrafts the lot, everything to do with NUFC. So someone places a bid, that is a bid to take on owernship of everything, what do you think will happen if, whilst the sale is going through, someone then sells a player and uses it to pay off the overdraft? the terms of the sale has now changed as the OD is less and the playing squad is less you can't do that unless you have agreement with every bidder, at an advanced stage with a preffered bidder, or there are no bidders you are right it does narrow the gap, but you can't do that without resetting the bidding process, it doesnt matter what arrangement there is with the banks, if there are bids in place, and this hasn't been agreed with them, the terms of sale has changed, making it null and void

Any serious interested party will gets access to the books after they show evidence of funds. Otherwise they only have publicly available accounts to base their valuation on. And you reckon Ashley won't be involved in making decisions on bids? Seymour Pierce are handling the sale and weeding out the piss-takers but any serious bid will be decided on by Ashley. No I dont. Ashley will have set a price, with a min limit, if that bid is met and proof of funds is given then those parties would be given access to the books, I very much doubt that Seymour price would be on the phone asking if it was ok if that party view the books Once the proof was given and the books viewed, any additional bid would then be handed to Ashley, any questions they had would be fielded by Ashley or his team but there is no way in hell Ashley is sat at the end of a phone waiting to say "yay or nay" on a per bid basis

The Bid isn't made to Ashley, it isn't made to Llambias, its made to Seymour Price, if that bid is accepted they would have been given access to the companies records If Profitable group heard nothing its because their bid was below the min value and would in effect be ignored, they wouldn't be granted access to the books and as such it would be treated in the same way as a bid from myself would be As to the asking price, I reckon its probably £100m, job done Obviously the buyer then takes on all outstanding debts which would probably mean Ashleys loan would need to be immediately repaid, making the true cost around £200m upfront You would have to be out your fucking mind to pay that for NUFC
