Met a couple of lads last night for a pint. One of them turned 50 earlier this year and he's now in a panic of illness etc. He's one of the fittest guys I know. He's won several age group triathlons and duathlons. BUT obviously anything can happen. I have told him to buy the Daily Stoic book to try and understand you can only control what you can control. I have also told him to read the book called Die with Zero. My BIL takes the piss out of me at times, because I have a saying of 'It's a good life'. If I am with my nephews and playing footy or cars or whatever I feel comforted and just lucky with what I have got. I feel I can appreciate the simple things in life and that for me is what its about. Live for today guys. Tell your loved ones you love em.
