  1. Apparently comedically gifted Wales their 2 goals in the under 21 game tonight.
  2. Actually the surrounding area is beautiful and we found this amazing pub which served the best carvery and cans of pussy. But the town centre on the weekend was more like Blackpool than the riviera.
  3. Cant remember the year but it was against Leicester I think we drew 0-0 I think it was the year after Withe left. Bad memory.
  4. The financial markets are way beyond the credit crunch now. I would predict that January will be a very quiet transfer window this year. A lot of clubs out there are living year by year by reservicing debt of huge amounts over short terms. This will start to slow down as banks do not have the money to support this kind of refinancing. I can see Manutd being in a bit of trouble along with Arsenal and West Ham and Pompey being completely fucked.
  5. Went to Torquay for a few days in the summer with the wife. Out of respect for yourself I will not post a review of the place.
  6. Thought so. More I like it my way, but no one else's. You're completely missing the point of freedom. Deserve has nothing to do with it. Politeness is nice, but you can have polite oppression, tranny and murder. I get it. You don't like limitations on what you can and can't do, what you can and can't say - and you view religion as one of the major restrictions on your so-called freedom. No problem. It's your life. I just don't see why you insist on trying to impose this view on everyone else. Can't you see that it's self-contradictory? Doesn't freedom mean the ability to choose one's own way? So how can you force someone to be free? If everyone's free, going back to an example you attempted in an earlier argument, shouldn't that mean people should be "free" to wear religious symbols in university? I mean, it's their choice. It doesn't affect you (unless, of course, it offends you. But that's a debate for another time.) But you've already stated it should be banned. So here you are, ready to demand the protection of what you consider to be your freedom but equally ready to say what others can and can't do. It's ironic that you of all people would accuse me of trying to have my cake and eat it too. So it's ok for us Westerners to criticise others' practices, but when they start doing it, it's hate speech and terrorism. It's free speech when radicals here attack such things as FGM, child marriage, honor killing (which, disgusting and out-dated as they may seem to you, have been part of their culture for centuries. And who cares if it's disgusting to you? They're supposed to be free as well - or does that freedom only extend to white people?) but when the radicals on the other side of the world attack things in the West that they consider to be equally disgusting, it's not allowed. When your morals are offended, it's an outrage. But when their morals are offended - like those who found the Satanic Verses offensive - you don't care. Why? Are their morals, or their outrage, somehow less important than yours? Who decides that? You're another one who wants it both ways. Freedom without boundaries is meaningless. And who sets those boundaries again? the majority will of the people. Its called democracy. Does my neighbour have the right to play loud music any time of the night? does that mean I only have the right to listen to that music? Do I have the right to kill. Does that mean people have the right to be killed. Does having the right to circumcised my daughter mean she has the right to be circumcised? Does she have the right to object? Freedoms of individuals rarely coincide with the freedoms of society to live freely and without fear.
  7. It's on the windowsill, a good distance away from the water! I thought this through. Got a dvd on whilst I'm having a soak. Are you listening to Kenny Gee at the same time you big fairy. Men shower!!!

  18. Fife. I know. There is pretty much nothing in Auchtermochty except maybe a decent Venison farm. It's only because it is on the way to St Andrews that I have been there.
  19. Newcastle United have been going through a rough time lately and unfortunately the British press has seen this as a chance to kick someone while they are on the floor. Lets get things straight from the off. The recent protests are not just a reaction to the resignation of Kevin Keegan due to his lack of backing from a board of directors with no real experience running a football club at this level. The protests of the fans is a reaction to years of bad management which can be traced back to the sacking of Sir Bobby Robson and the dumbfounding appointment of Graeme Souness as his manager. At that point Newcastle were considered part of a top five. Oh how things change. I live outside of the north east now and I am constantly being asked about the thoughts and actions of Newcastle’s supporters. Well you know what I can’t. That is because there are thousands of them. At least 52,000 and that is a conservative estimate based purely on the sell out attendances this small club has achieved despite not having won anything for 40 years. I cannot answer for all of them or even a large percentage. Because that attendance is combined of individuals all with there own ideas. Yes we all want the best for the club but trying to get everyone to agree what that is, well that is an exercise in futility. However that does not stop the modern media from reporting on the “feelings of Newcastle fans” or commenting on how “Newcastle fans want this” or “Newcastle fans have done that”. One wonders if these same people who have in the past have levelled racist accusations against these fans would have the temerity to say that “Chinese people want this” or “black people have done that” because it is tantamount to the same thing. Today’s journalists are a lazy bunch they are so happy to use cultural or regional identity to group all Newcastle fans together but would not dare to criticise another group the same way. Newcastle United deserves to be treated with respect, but so does everybody something that the modern media forgets. Only accusations mud slinging and regionalistic slurs seems to sell papers or get people to phone radio shows these days. Newcastle United has recently got itself a supporters association. This is something that every club should have. A group which supporters can join separate from the club which can share their views and feedback officially to owners (whoever they may be). Newcastle may be struggling at the moment and they may find that this year things do not get better. People have in the past said they may “do a leeds”. Well if they do I know one thing even though the press may desert us and go kick another club in turmoil the supporters will not desert the club. I am not saying that 52,000 will turn up to see the local derby against Hartlepool but I bet it gets the biggest crowd of the day.
  20. Why are you listening to it if you think it is that shit and it winds you up so much all the time? Well, Ian wright does talk sense most of the time and he is a funny guy, plus I listen to it on my commute on the bike. You must be talking about some other Ian Wright cos the one who used to play for arsenal is a cock.
