And something all the boards prior to 1992 didn't do either. That is what they are supposed to do, they are supposed to back their manager. As for supporting the club, managers and players, I paid my money and hoped the club would win under Souness, Ashley and also all the mongs that ran the club and managed the club through the vast majority of the 1970's and 1980's. Just because you think they are shit doesn't mean you aren't supporting them. Same as Ameobi on the field, I support him, but he's shit. Thats where we disagree. To me the chairman is supposed to A find the best available person for the job he didnt. B Critically assess on an ongoing basis the performance level of said appointee and if needed remove him from that position if they turn out to be utter crap.

I want no one to take over. I want them to be completely incapable of finding a replacemnt. That way Ashley may be forced to sell as he can no longer properly run the club.

I have purposely not posted on this as I wanted to take in all of the info digest it and then comment. The way I see it Keegan has been seething for quite some time that he was asked to come back under this system but has not wanted to lose the job again. Things came to a head when players he (wrongly in my opinion) wanted to keep like Barton and Milner were being touted for sale. He has changed his mind and been ready to quit. Ashley and the others have seen the backlash of allowing this to happen and have stopped him for now. They have a vision of this club being run correctly not at a loss and with player movements in and out being made by heads and not hearts. Unfortunatley KK is a hearts man. They are now sitting down and trying to resolve their differences to make this work without either losing too much. I hope KK stays until the end of his contract. i hope a year before the end of his contract the board start contacting people covertly about a replacement. I do not apportion blame to any one person as so many on here have done without knowing all of the facts.
