  1. I see what your saying but like I said I think his idea was to give McCoist and the celtic bloke the coaching duties with him being more a director of football. Giving him the space to do both roles. I think the SFA are guilty of shooting themselves in the foot. Probably didn't want to be seen sharing someone with Rangers for obvious reasons.
  2. ...if you consider shafting your own country "a good job" then I agree. The guy's gone down a lot in my estimation. Why. He was prepared to do a dual role giving McCoist more responsibility at Rangers. Seems to me more of a case of the SFA spitting the dummy. I think both the Scotland and Rangers jobs (though very different) are both full-time jobs. I can fully understand the SFA's point of view. Scotland job is not full time. Part time at best with the right infrastructure. No national coach really works full time. How the FA managed to pay Sven so much for what he did is beyond me.
  3. I have got to say I slagged him off for Martins and SIb but they seem to be performing quite well now. Apart from penalties obviously.
  4. Not the worst thing done to me by far. After my car accident I was in a German hospital where they constantly took my temperature the alternative way. I thought this was just routine until I said something at the british military hospital and all the nurses laughed at me. Said something like "When am I gonna get the thermometer up the arse treatment??? In the mouth? It wasn't like this in Germany, let me tell you!" Sounds like that was blatantly a bit of revenge for the war by the Germans. First time they came to take my temp I rolled on my side and whipped me jim jams down. They were pissing themselves laughing. Also got my wheelchair confiscated when I was in London.

  7. In what way have Rangers broken the rules? Think he means Rangers have broken SFA rules by appointing Walter Smith as manager. To my mind though, this is surely more about Walter Smith being a turncoat than it is about Rangers "tapping up" the Scottish national coach. Surely? If they are guilty of tapping up I think the max fine is a couple of hundred grand. Plus they asked the SFA if they could approach him they said no and Walter Smith resigned which he has every right to do. Rangers could point out they were willing to share Smith but it was the SFA who refused to allow him the dual role. GeordieMessiah I am agreeing with you I just re read this and it sounds a little argumentative.
  8. Due to my heart thing I had to have regular ECG's. for which the nurses had to shave a ptch of my chest. One of them thought it would be funny to shave the patch in the shape of a heart. So the others decided to follow suit. Kept the wife amused for ages.
  9. Miss Potter. An absolutely delightful film and made me and the missus cry a bit. Oh and I'll add the myself.
  10. I have always thought he is over rated. cant go past people his speciality was to receive balls up from the defender and put in crosses. He was I will concede the best in the game at this but in everything else I.E. movement off the ball tackling and creation he was over rated.
  11. Almost makes me wish I could see Ian Wright and Alan Hansen do after match punditry. That's almost but not quite.
  12. 1/3 of the way into transfer window. I hate these things now.
  13. Night at the Museum. Has Robin Williams Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney in. What else does a film need. I really enjoyed it BTW.
  14. Slightly off topic but does anyone remember how Mongoloid was the way people described downs syndrome kids. TBH it must have been completely shite to be a non white or non able bodied or gay person in the 70's and early 80's
  15. Somebody on N-O a halfwit I refuse to believe it
  16. Fuck me, are you getting stabilizers too? I can just see him out on the street on Christmas morning with all the other kids who got new bikes. Them all stood staring at him as he emerges from the garage dressed from head to toe in padding. excellent funniest thing Ive read on here for a while! this has to be a wind up surely? The pads are for downhilling I dont do road riding.
  17. I'm a tad younger than you Bob but that sent a huge shiver down my spine - childhood memories of being allowed to go in the Leazes I am asuming then the rest of the song would be the 12 players from the game?
  18. Getting a new bike I am so excited. Even though the mother in law try to nix the deal cos I am a bit accident prone. But she is buying me all the knee and shin pads. Had to agree to a full head helmet as well a street riders one.
