It’s Liverpool. Of course it’s a goal. Just like the inevitable injury time until they score again.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c179g8yvq4ro gives a bit of a career profile. Looks like a decent appointment on paper

We wouldn’t be the first club to refuse to work with him. It can’t be good for your business as a football agent to piss off too many clubs.

If Neave has the raw potential then a season playing for U21s and training with first team and a few bench appearances could be good development.
-
Have we got anyone in the academy or U21s who looks like they can find the net? Good opportunity if there is. As a third choice striker I can live with it.
-
Don’t forget the Coutihno money too!

Wissa is certainly an upgrade on Wilson based on injuries and last season. Woltemade has good potential and can be at least as good as Isak. Might take a season or two to get there though. Certainly an exciting signing anyway. Better depth and options. Rest of the signings have been good.

If they can handle concurrent rugger and a game tynecastle which is about 10min walk away should be fine. bigger challenge would be Murrayfield pitch in 6 nations period. Won’t be conducive to a slick passing game.

It’s likely bollocks. But if you think Edinburgh is teeming with football fans on a weekend you are grossly overestimating both hearts and hibs.

Their stupendously massive ego.

Is £60million a fair price for a 20 goal a season premier league striker. Probably is actually. Is Larsen a 20 goal a season striker. I sure hope so. He’s should be coming into his prime years now so hopefully. The real challenge is finding them before they cost £60mil.

To turn it round there is down to the ownership and leaders. Just as our culture was toxic under Ashley we were never going to be anymore than a relegation fodder/lower- mid table club. He had no interest and didn’t back the managers. Rafa came in and worked miracles with the team but was let go as he didn’t align with Ashley’s values. If we appointed Howe under Ashley we’d still not achieve the success. Results would improve, players would improve, but we’d hit a mid table ceiling and Howe would move onto Spurs or Everton or whoever. Same as under Rafa. The culture at Man U is equally bad. Radcliffe has been dismantling various features and identity of the club and team. The players are going backwards, regular self inflicted rifts with managers and players. Until someone comes in and can align that mess with a clear view they are going nowhere. A new manager will get them 4th - 6th but it won’t last until that core failing is fixed. Here’s hoping it lasts a lot longer.

If he plays for Sweden and not us it strengthens the clubs case against him as he can’t make the ”can’t play because injured argument” should it come to that.
-
It’s more important to get the right player at the wrong price than the wrong player at the right price. Costs for both Wissa and Larsen seem excessive to me. But the cost of not doing it seems to be higher. If the club can afford it without gimping ourselves in PSR that’s all that really matters.

Sending the bids by Royal Mail. Second class stamp as who’s got the cash for first class these days.

We need a striker. He’s shown himself to be decent and have some potential. As a replacement for Wilson looks spot on. Price seems high to me - but that’s not really my problem.

Next step is an invite to the Embassy for “advanced negotiations”.

Osula will get a chance now. No other options. Tonali, Joelinton injured, Gordon suspended. Hope he grabs it with both hands. Has shown moments of class so hopefully a run will help. -
Would rather see him rot than go to Liverpool. Loan him out to one of the least glamourise bits of Saudi and let him suffer.

Why is it always these scabby gits late in a game. Absolute arseholes. -
Don’t know much about Sørloth. But stats last couple of seasons in Spain are pretty good. Prior to that, and his spell at Palace look pretty ropey. Also got in my mind that Joselu did well in La Liga and less than useless here…. If he’s in the sub £40 million price range probably a good deal as a Wilson replacement.

If he stays he’ll be back and doing the business for us by October. As I see it there’s a few scenarios: 1. Liverpool stump up the cash and he fucks off. We get our pants pulled down for Wissa or Larsen or whoever and struggle for 6-12 months. Hopefully we get the scouts finding the right prospects for a quality replacement in January or Summer 26. 2. They don’t and he stays. He can then sulk for as long as he likes. The longer he does the less likely a top club signs him. He loses. NUFC loses. So that won’t last too long. He needs to be playing and scoring to be attractive for a move. The route back needs some honest attrition on both sides. There’s fault both ends. Set a £150m+ release clause on him playing well or scoring 20+ goals this season. He gets the certainty and a motivation to do well. Just glad it’s not me who has to resolve this nonsense. Get enough of this bollocks at work but at least thats with no press involved or social media dickheads stirring the pot.

What’s Shefki Kuqi up to these days?

Reading that times article and comparing it to the Steve Bruce era is just mind blowing. No wonder Howe managed to get great performance from players Bruce got nothing from.
-
Yeah - there’s no legal reason why you couldn’t play them. I think I’ve seen previously that any such restriction on players playing against certain teams on permanent transfers is banned. could be done informally through a gentleman agreement or if transfer is imminent by withholding the players registration until after the game. or in Isaks case by him being nowhere near match fit.
