Is it feasible to expect the person with his finger on the trigger to be entriely certain that the person in his sights is absolutely the right person? Intelligence, such as it is, leaves a lot to be desired and while innocent lives should not be lost, is it actually possible to be a hundred percent certain that you've got the right guy? I agree that simply popping everyone with a beard and a backpack is rediculous, but honestly, it is unimaginably difficult to get sufficient information on a target without them becoming aware and disappearing or, even worse, accelerating whatever plans they have... well I for one think that this thread has ended up in a total bitch fest, heres the points I took from it......(I dont necessarily agree with the points, its just what stands out as having been said) if people wish to get it back on track then feel free to post corrections to these thoughts or answer the questions raised. 1. Leazes posts the story of the terrorist raids and has the view that one way to reduce the chances of further terrorism on these shores is to stop any future immigration. 2. Renton disagrees with this view, pointing out that it appears the men arrested were British. 3. Renton calls LM Enoch Powell 4. LM retorts calling Renton Chemical/ Comical Ali. 5. LM questions the authenticity of reading about an historic figure. 6. Renton states Enoch was LMs mate. 7. Renton gives up 8. LM uses the words "left wing dogooder" for the 7th time in 3 pages 9. Renton gives up "again" I was going to document the whole thread on this basis as a chance to show that it was 6 of one, half a dozen of another however on reviewing the first 3 pages I see that not once has Renton mentioned his qualifications, not once has he advocated soft left wing options rather than sorting the problem out. I also see that LM, you are unable to use the edit function to correct a very bad mix up with the Chemical/ Comical Ali's which did make you look stupid. So lets solve this once and for all, here is a list of questions for two members to answer Renton and Leazes, I dont want answers from anyone else but I would hope to see all of them answered by those two even if its just to say "i dont know" All questions should be answered by both people and honestly. 1.
