1. No problems just that his throwing from the outfield looked rather painful and rather uncoordinated. Looked rather humerous i thought! I wouldnt say we were thoroughly outplayed as it was a close series. Saying we got thoroughly outplayed sounds like we lost the series 4-1 or something when it was only 2-1 and about 3 of those tests were decided late on the last day. Having said that we may have lost a series but we have won just about everything in the 4 years before hand to keep our status as the number 1 test playing nation. What he said 43338 Whos England got next? I just had a leave from toontastic during the Ashes series
2. Now, Im sure thats his plan 42691 Bit skinny like. Can be really uncool and ask who she is? 43283 I was hoping someone would ask like. Is Matty not the lad who claimed his brother was seeing Rachel Stevens? Apologies if not like, but the photo of them "together" (either side of a security railing) was class. 43284 Nope that's not me... I can remember that picture as well but can't remember who it was who posted it! 43288 Well whoever it is I wish he'd come back and tell us how the romance is going. 43289 That was Oli (Walliver) im pretty sure...
3. Yeah would of loved to have seen the little master out there. Then again i would of loved to have seen a game in Perth, once again we are the shit kicker of a state! On Murali he was even throwing the ball in from the outfield. Thought he had stopped that due to his shoulder but still even his throws from the outfield look dodgey as all fuck. Still is a chucker mind. Will go down as getting 600+ wickets of which 400 were no balls.
4. Ahh, you're admitting that England are the World's best now are you? Good 43246 Nah, we are still the best!
5. I talked about cricket when we lost the series and i acknowledged England were good but only once. But it is better viewing now i must admit! SM Pollock CH Gayle V Sehwag JH Kallis BC Lara KP Pietersen R Dravid A Flintoff Shoaib Akhtar KC Sangakkara Shahid Afridi M Ntini M Muralitharan DL Vettori Oh and i will add that the World XI lost by 93 runs. Bowled out for 162 in 41.3 overs.
6. Well Australia after making a good start by Gilchrist and Katich had some middle order problems with Marto and the NSW pin up boy, Clarke. Most batsman made a start but didnt go on with it leaving Brett Lee to smack the bejesus out of the ball in the last couple of overs and once again West Aussie legend Mike Hussey made his mark. Time for a test call up me thinks as the man is a dead set gun! In the end Australia made 8/255 after their 50 overs. World XI fielding a side, which on paper should win, have gotten off to a terrible start 8/138 after 37.2 overs. Sri Lankan keeper Sangakkara made 65 and Flintoff is on 31* at the moment but other then that everyone made single digits. Sehwag (6), Kallis (8), Lara (0), Dravid (4), Pietersen (2), Afridi (2) and Pollock (5). Well done Australia a good come back after the Ashes series against the worlds best players!
7. Dos Santos is mint in FM Some of the goals that were scored were absolutely class! Did anyone see that Turkey player against Brazil when he got past both the Brazilian defenders? What a piece of skill that was! How tall is Tim Krul he looked huge when i first saw a glimpse of him

We have this mint English lass in our uni class but she talks all funny in that pommy accent. Cant remember where she said she was from though i wasny paying much attention to be honest or should i say tbh? There is some quality down at uni in WA i must admit especially doing a sports science degree, phoarrrr. Also there is this lass in my nutrition class who looks like Chloe Maxwell, she is mint! We got caught perving on her when doing skinfold measurements when she had to take her kit off
10. Well this thread has certainly degenerated... This was the cover of the West Australian this morning;
11. Sad to see this happen again to such wonderful people over in Bali. Yet again their main industry of tourism will collapse for a good few months before anyone bothers to go back to Bali. It is sad to see as they were well and truely getting over the terrorist attacks from 2002. Jimbaran Bay is a beautiful place to go and the place is seriously lined with tourists and restaurants. Its sad to see such a beautiful place bombed like that. One of my mates has a balianese mate who works in one of the restaurant along Jimbaran Bay so i hope he is alright. Here are a couple of pictures i took when i was recently over in Bali at Jimbaran Bay. As you can see the the beach is literally covered with hundreds of tourists and restaurants. The other picture is why people go to Jimbaran Bay with beautiful sunsets like that!
12. I can't remember who it was, but one of our antipodean members was slating Warne a bit the other week. Just how is he viewed by the masses at home in Aus? 41393 Well in Australia it is simple, he is a god. But it must be noted that he is a god only in his cricketing terms. Some say he is good cause he gets with your women but thats just about more taking the piss. Most people i have spoken to think he is an idiot off the field especially with all the stuff with his 'wife'. He treated her like shizen and is now paying the costs and if i were her i wouldnt get back with him. How many times does he have to learn? But on the field everyone knows and respects that he is a deadset champion at what he does. I guess you could say we love to hate him at times.
13. Yeah its amazing how Warney has now said when he is back in Australia that he wants to get back with his wife yet didnt say it in England. He did well on the field aswell as off the field i hear while in England. 5 hour romp, bloody hell!
14. Ooh, get you 41377 Just letting everyone in England know what they are missing out on I should be out getting pissed! This is going to be quite a boring weekend. What are everyone elses plans? I know Alex will be posting on here 41379 Only week days matey, although I'm on here enough to have noticed your 'mysterious' disappearance that coincided with the latter stages of the English Cricket season. Funny that 41381 Yeah well... i was busy at uni I stayed away from here and every other cricket site i go to cause i know what the english are like. So i thought it would be in everyones best interests if i stayed away!

16. Not out till January in Australia...
17. Yeah im pretty myself, 1030pm and their aint anything to do. Just watched a comedian on TV and now im watching all this stuff about Andrew Flintoff. Quite bored Is the bird flu getting news over in England?
18. Hey Wellsy you're back! Has anyone mentioned the Ashes to you yet? 38862 G'day Alex mate, yes i watched it and yes England were good. I congratulate England on finally winning the Ashes but it wont be long till we have them back again! How good was Flintoff? Wouldnt mind him playing for WA! Was a good series in the end, could of gone either way with those two close tests so yeah im over it now. Just got to put up with smug English folk now 39588 Wellsy mate, nice to have you back. I thought you'd fell off the face of the earth. It was a great series and I thought England deserved it although the Aussies and Shane Warne in particular played their part. In all seriousness though, what will you do when he retires? 39591 Hmmm yeah im not sure to be honest. Warne and McGrath have been so great i guess it is a time of changing the guard and hope the younger bowlers or the bowlers with less internation experience can step up. Our domestic competition is pretty good at finding talent but its just a matter of harnessing that talent. Players like Cam White, Beau Casson will have to step up once Warne retires. Once McGrath retires we are going to have to push through some bowlers, Tait showed he could bowl at international level at times but his length and line was a bit over the shop at times. Can bowl a killer yorker but with some experience he will only get better. We have Bracken and a very young kid who is apparently something special in Moises Henriques coming through at NSW. Michael Lewis from Victoria is coming through but they are no McGrath thats for sure. I guess it is just a matter of giving them time to develop and helping them by giving them games at the international level. Other past players who are getting on like Brad Williams could still probably do a job for Australia if need be. To be honest im dreading the day Warney and McGrath retire

20. God i went into town today and everyone has west coast scarves on and balloons i even saw some girls with WCE scarves on in the local Bar 120 in hillarys the other night. Thats beside the fact i had a bit of a verbal abuse from WCE rookie Aaron Edwards who thought he was all this and a bag of doritos. God i hope Sydney win! Under 11 hours till i start getting drunk at breaky, hell yeah! Mustang bar goes alright aswell but not quite the Shed or the Paramount plus the Deen some nights!
21. We have lost the Ashes How good was Brett Lee's 6's yesterday they were huge!! That LBW decision on Katich was terrible, especially at such a critical stage of the game. Oh well we are in some serious trouble and we will need to win the last test to retain the Ashes. England need a new keeper. Jones drops a hard chance which could of been taken at 1st slip and then takes the bails off before he got the ball in the latest runout.
22. Seems so yeah, Whats happened to craig moore?...not that hes any great loss, just seems to have vanished!! 20591 Moore is injured. I dont know if Dyer will start or Emre as they might not want to rush them back for this game. Could be a nice selection headache for Souness. Hope Luque starts!
23. Hopefully it is a decent reception for him once he does come back afterall when he was with us he loved playing for us and always gave 100% for the Newcastle cause despite him being an idiot at times. I would hope he gets a good reception anyways.

Third Test

Well i stayed up till the wee hours in the morning (again) 2am, which turned into 3am in the end to watch that! Amazing stuff really. Full credit to England they were on top of us everyday basically and probably should of won. Also unlucky with weather conditions but full credit to the Aussies who did something that i didnt think we could do and we havent been able to do all series and bat for a full days play. To Ponting, what can i say! I doubted your form after a very lean series so far but that was truely a captains knock, which held our innings together when we looked like utter diahorra. To play so cooly towards the end of the innings, under pressure and all to push the singles to remain on strike and not do anything stupid. I bow down to you, now wheres that smiley! To Lee and McGrath, well i didnt think McGrath could survive 4 overs but they did well. Albeit i think there could of been trouble if Jones could of kept bowling at least! McGrath did what he had to do and when he was walking off raising his bat to the crowd like he had made a century made me laugh. What a champion! The English bowlers tortured us throughout this test and Flintoff, well what can i say but he is better then that Harmison bloke thats for sure! I want Flintoff playing for WA! England can take a lot from this test but i hope they dont take too much. Australia can take a bit aswell but there needs to be some work done on our batting performance especially the top order. Well done England and Australia for putting on such a great match, again! To Trent Bridge we go and a much needed rest and an early nights sleep!

Third Test

Yeah well we are a strange lot. Ive seen some weird uniforms people wear at the WACA here aswell. Somethings you just have to question why! But it is the cricket and it is ok to wear absolutely bizzare things. I hope Warne and Ponting hold on. Ponting has done so well thus far a real captains knock that we needed. Cant wait till the next test!
