  1. Le Sib is King. All Hail Le Sib (repeat as nausem)
  2. I know we need a "big man" striker to make a change from the midgets we have in attacking positions (excluding Le Sib), but this is fucking ridiculous. Never happen anyway.
  3. Still though, given our injuries, Uber-Fuck.
  4. Yes he does but it wouldn't hurt to buy at least one in jan for two reasons: 1. If we get a defender in now, he will be fairly gelled into the squad by Feb, meaning we don't do what we normally do, and by players on deadline day meaning they don't fully intergrate with the squad until September. 2. He's injured atm, so It wouldn't hurt to have a fit defender to have one that could come into the team if Ramage/Taylor get injured or needed resting and Bramble turns to cack.
  5. I too would like a PM. Thanx Muchley
  6. Im sure there are better options instead of Earnie, if only in terms of height. Put simply, in January we need a cheap, tall, striker and 2 full backs, possibly 2 centre backs as well, as Moore is leaving, and Bramble may be.
  7. Personally, I think regardless who the ref is, they will never get the respect they really deserve, as they will always end up pissing off somebody, it is inevitable. I think it is a good idea that ex-players should try their hand at it, but it wont make any difference in the grand scheme of things.
  8. I am gutted that Roeder isn't on the list of nominees for best coah.
  9. I have a distinct feeling we will get shat on. From a great height. Not even the awesome power of Le Sib can save us now.
  10. Yes, it does seem like pure speculation, but there is no smoke without fire. I think we should hang onto Bramble until we have found a suitable replacement, be that in January or later. If he can keep his form up ideally he should stay until at least the summer. Although the Bosman ruling fills me with a deep sense of dread...
  11. Yes. Robbo was right about that, but for my money I never rated Peacock ahead of other centrebacks such as Howey and Albert. You may be right and he was always unfortunate to be caught on his own at the back, but I always remember him being generally too slow to respod to oncoming attackers, and being caught out of position a lot.
  12. For me, out of a back four of Beresford, Albert, Peacock, Barton, Peacock was always the weakest. Albert was mint Beresford was alright Barton was passable
  13. DARREN BASTARD PEACOCK He looks like my brother. I would wager my brother was better at football then him, even with his chronic arthritus and clinical depression.
  14. Good amount of premiership teams drawn against each other I see. Hopefully it will happen all the way through and we play Bury in the final.
  15. Bury away please. Then I can actually get to the game.
  16. GIVEN SOLANO TAYLOR MOORE RAMAGE DYER PARKER EMRE DUFF OWEN MARTINS
  17. It is total crap. I know a few people who don't really follow football, but Newcastle are their favorite team becasue they have the "prettiest" kit.
  18. No one outside Taylor/Given/Emre deserves more than a 6. One of the dullest games I have ever seen. Not helped by the ramblings of John Helm and Joe Royle.
  19. If he doesn't mess up again, I'd be tempted to keep him on as a squad player, maybe 3rd or 4th choice centreback. At severly reduced pay of course.
