How lovely for you. -
I think its just pre-season jitters that everything will go wrong at the last minute. I think the fact that we have been linked with pretty much every decent and half-decent striker going since the end of last season, and the fact we haven't bought one yet is just making me nervous, especially as the season starts in a fortnight.

Well, apparently they ar as good as signed 'intergrated with the squad within the next few days' Sounds pretty concrete to me 170936 Believe it when I see them in a Newcastle shirt. -
Sitting in the home end - during Away matches
Jigsaw's Juggernaut replied to Nobby's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sat in the home end at Blackburn last year when we won 3-0. Itwas our first win of the season. I really tried but I just couldn't stop laughing after the 3rd goal. I calmed when Taylor got sent off though. -
Signing Players Without Youtube Compilations

Hehehe. -
De Cler would be a good buy if he didn't cost too much. Personally I can't say I've ever heard of Mathijsen before, but that isn't saying much. They are both dutch internationals though, so they cannot be too bad. In the current situation, I'd prefer De Cler to Mathijsen, purely because we need a left back and at the minute, we can get by on what we have for centre halfs, as our main priority is strikers.
-
Depends who we bring in though. With all the transfer talk that gone on over the summer regarding strikers, and the fact we haven't got one in yet suggests that we may only bring in squad player strikers, with Roeder being forced to start Luque and Ameobi. Personally I cannot see us getting Kyut or Robbie Keane or any other big name striker. Would love it if we could though.
-
I`ve gone with Luque. I think Shola has peaked to his best ability, back end of last season and pre-season. Luque has alot to offer. Luque needs to make it as we will lose too much money. 170929 Aye.

Not exactly filling me with confidence. Its been like this for weeks. I wont be happy untill we actually officially sign players, especially a striker or two. -
No if's or Butt's, he's staying!

You never know. He might be really, really good. -
A smelly billionaire.
-
Might liven up the dressing room...
-
Doubt it. He only wants to leave chelsea for Italia.
-
I'd still be willing to give him a chance until Christmas, although I think his chances are less than 50/50 of making it; but if an option of him plus 5m for Defoe came along I'd hope the club took it. 165993 Looks like I wont need that crash helmet afterall...
-
I think we should wait till January before we off load Luque at a cut-price. Yes he had a shite season last year, due to injury and attitude problems. But I think if he is given a chance this season he will play well. And if he hasn't improved by Jan, then we should sell him. *Awaits barrage of replies telling me why I am wrong and deserve to be shot. Repeatedly. Out of a cannon*

*Plays a grim death march for Dyer's footballing career* cba with a headstone, tbh.
-
I agree. Carr deserves much more than he gets credit for. However, I do think Babayaro is poor. But then again, last season against Robbie "Lets not get in Europe this year" Elliot, we didn't have much of a choice but play him. Would be well willing to go to 4mill on Bridge as a replacement.
-
I don't know. We definately need to ship JAB out. But Moore looked fairly solid apart from all the bookings. And Bramble seemed to do well when he played next to him. And we've got Steve Taylor to come back. Ramage doesn't seem to be doing well though.

Loony Alarm! Someone fetch the big net... -
But its soooo fun...

Wouldn't mind seeing Phillip Lahm at left back, but he is out of our price range now Fred has said we are going to spend a majority of what little money we have on attacking players. Also I think the spurs are interested in him.
-
I don't know. I would like to keep him as with Bowyer gone the only midfield cover we are likely to have for Parker and Emre is Nicky Butt or Matty Pattison. Even if was at the expense of pissing off O'dreary.
