I missed this program, did it go off air for awhile or something?

What's wrong Parky? When you really feel rock bottom and all is lost.....take pleasure in the simple things in life like a beautiful sunset or a gorgeous full moon and count your blessings. There's always someone worse off than yourself. Alternatively, order in a chinese and watch a top film!!

Happy Birthday sweetie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Alex Zanardi's book is very interesting, the man is amazing! -
Excellent call. Yes brilliant. I missed Man on Wire last night...hope I can catch it on BBC iplayer. I'm not sure which category Long Way Round and Long Way Down come under, not a documentary anyway, but really enjoyed those.

Thats right, some people were affected by Jade Goody's death just as much I expect. Thats why I've always hated the texts and jokes that you hear, to someone they will be painful. Its bad taste and disrespectful anyway.

I found Peter Kay's alittle boring. The worst one I've read was Ginolas, infact I didnt finish it cos it was so bad. I hate it when the book is just an excuse to publicly air all your grievances. I bought Jackie Stewarts but it went on abit and since then I'm not so keen on the man himself. Richard Bransons first one was very good and I enjoyed Richard Hammonds book mostly about his accident, very interesting. Life in the Fast Lane: The Story of the Benetton Grand Prix Year and A Mechanics tale both by Steve Matchett are good reads. Also Perry McCarhy's Flat out, flat broke. (The old Stig) Lucky Man by Micheal J Fox is one of the best I've read. -
Happy Birthday Gina from Sunny Torquay

I agree with that 100% but I'm starting to feel things are getting stupid. The rise of the death cult a la Diana/Goody/Jackson which now includes Bobby shows a desperation of people needing to grieve over people they don't actually know which I think is very unhealthy. I'm sad the man is dead but the way people are talking here about crying their eyes out/being devastated etc can only lead me to think they've never suffered the loss of someone close - or if they have I think they should re-evaluate what should be the appropriate difference between the two. Maybe it reminds them of the loss of someone close too. I sort of agree with most of what you're saying though. I sort of agree too. And yes it does bring your own losses to the front again. My Dad passed away a year this Weds, its a painful time anyway, plus he was a football man who loved Sir Bobby. But I think there are certain people in life even if you dont know them personally who mean something to you and their death affects you. Senna was one for me and now Sir Bobby. It doesnt matter that I didnt know them, they symbolised everything I admired in a person doing the sports I love. You didnt need to know Sir Bob, infact he said not many people really knew him anyway, its what he stood for, his values, his dignity and his love for the game and his hometown.

Junkyard challenge. Junkyard Wars FTW That was it. edit: actually no it wasn't, it was called Thunder Races. Bump for TR and so fish can give someone the "win." Thanks Sammy.. I knew it wasnt SHC. I win!!! As it turns out my Son knew right away because one of the drivers who we race against at Mendips, Alistar, took part in the pilot episode! I should have known that Thunder race

Wonderful news, now I have someone in F1 to really despise again! I was starting to feel apathetic about them all. Aside from that though I fully expect him to be as quick or even quicker than Kimi. I'm surprised in a way though, Schumi survived years of racing, relatively unscathed, is it tempting fate to come back? I'd be very superstitious about it myself.

Thats just it, I cant name it! (if it even exists)

Close but no cigar. Entourage The Shield Carnival Rome Weeds The Young ones/Bottom. Special mentions have to go to Tudors, Rescue Me, Boston Legal, the English series where three teams have to build a vehicle from scrap to compete in a race on a specially built track - forget what it is called and Jonathan Ross's Americana. Also make a special trip to see Naked and Funny if you like titties (the program is shite but there are some great baps in it). Scrap Heap Challenge Maybe Sammy means SHC but sounds like he meant a whole series dedicated to that one task and I dont think SHC did that Anyway if its not I'd like to find out what it was!

Don't get me started on the levels of fuckwittery at channel 4 on programming - they completely messed up Babylon 5 first time around - not showing it for weeks, sometimes out of order and then showed the final 5 eps of a meticulously plotted arc which had been building for 5 years at 9:30am as part of "the bigger breakfast" one xmas holidays - complete with the bigger breakfast logo on the screen and moronic voiceovers around all the ad breaks. I honestly came the closest I ever have to contemplating murder which says something as I harbour a lot of dark thoughts as a rule. Another shout out goes to Andi Peters who some fuckwit gave a job to at channel 4 and he proceeded to buy Angel and thinking it was just like Buffy scheduled it a 6pm hacked to ribbons. Cunts the lot of them. PS I forgot how much they messed around with The West Wing as well showing they haven't improved. So it was him then! Its amazing how people struggle with the concept of a programme that needs to be on after 9pm so they stick it on at 6pm and take half of it out! Mind the BBC did the same with Buffy at 6pm, editting alot out back in the day. If you can't show a programme as it is then its not on at the right time. Same as Top Gear on Dave tbh, to fit in the adverts they cut out bits-mainly my favourite 'sit round and discuss the news bit'

It will more likely be Gene. DC has been mentioned, but how about Anthony Davidson though? Big shout for Jonny Herbert Cant wait to see him in BTCC

How the hell did I forget Shameless? One of my very favourite series ever!!
-
Still cant bring myself to watch that. Some series though do stand the test of time.

Split them into categories like someone else did then. It is very tricky. I just thought of Blackadder!

Anyone else remember trying to swim like he did? - fucking impossible I tried when I fell off our mates Yacht into Torquay's Marina recently

For once I did too

Dallas was actually canny good. Pure cheese but hilarious with it. Larry Hagman man I quite admired Victoria Principal, JR was a proper Texan twat, Cliff Barnes did nothing apart from slag JR off and order Chinese take-aways with his lass. you mean don't you? Preferred Bobby tbh. Webbed Fingers Ha!!
