We have had our own website(s) for ages now. All about our motor racing. My son makes and updates all our sites. I think they're pretty good, but then I'm bound to! Our racing site Loram Racing Hubby's business (not plugging because I doubt any of you bike riders would travel so far to get it fixed)! Business This is a site my son makes just for the Hot Rods where we race, he puts in a quick race report and points update after each meeting. It links to the official track site and other race sites. Its been quite popular this season, as it attracts other drivers to visit our track as it helps to see what you're up against! Mendips hot rods This site is quite old now and has been left for posterity...it covered the years my son did serious radio control car racing. He cant bring himself to delete it. RC racing

RIP. How awful. I have seen many crashes over the years at various tracks. And although my hubby and son normally do short oval racing I still worry myself silly. fire being my biggest fear. I am always uncomfortable when we race mile ovals such as Mallory or Llandow circuits as the speeds much higher. Hubby and son are planning on racing at circuits next year doing the Silhouette series. Brands, Lydden Hill, Snetterton etc. I feel sick with worry already Still at least its not single seater racing.

Thanks very much I'm looking at this one...as you suggested Dr K http://www.amazon.co.uk/Humax-PVR9300T-320...ef=cm_cd_t_pb_t Previous models seem to have had a problems with noisy fans, this one used to but has now had an upgrade so its quiet. Shame though as the previous one with 160GB hard drive I found on PC world site for just £79! This one has excellent reviews except you cant put what you've recorded onto a DVD

would this do? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wharfedale-TU160DT.../ref=pd_cp_ce_1

As you guys are so clued up on this stuff please help me before I pull all of my hair out I am completely in the dark here. I've always had Sky you see but now only have Freeview (cant have a sky dish where we live now) Anyway my DVD recorder isnt great and never was really, so I want to be able to have something where I can record onto hard drive and save/delete or put onto DVD if I choose. I'd like to be able to record one channel whilst I watch another like a sky plus box. Basically I want to throw away my freeview box and DVD recorder (both rubbish) and have something that does it all. But this is where I come unstuck, what do I need? I'm so confused and the more I look online the more stressed I'm getting! Do I need to look for a Freeview + box or a DVR thingy or both? Does one thing do it all? as in recieve Freeview channels and record and be able to watch your own DVD's? Can someone please explain all this to me?! Thanks in advance, a very blond Toonraider

Yeah thats what I meant really Tom, I suppose though woman didnt fight in the forces as such in WW1...but helped the war effort in other ways.
-
I suppose there could be an older woman who served in WW1 still alive? I'm all for modern equality like but when you consider that most women couldn't vote at the time how many do you think served in the forces? Thats why I put a bloody question mark after what I had written I wasnt sure if woman served in some way Not frontline stuff of course but serving the government in wartime jobs, such as engineering and munition factories, nursing etc etc. I think some American states had given woman the right to vote during WW1 but it didnt come into force untill just after.

I have always wanted Clannad-Theme from Harry's game. Its haunting and beautiful. I chose it for my Dads funeral and it was very moving. Mind, it totally did us in when it came on but it was perfect, Dad's half Irish too so it was just spot on. Just tried listening to it again actually but too soon yet I'd also like U2's October, short but very moving. Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah maybe. Paul Weller-You do something to me Ave Maria. (the version from the film Hitman)

Definitely go and see another GP. We're having this problem atm, hubby has no confidence in his and once that goes you will always be questioning what they say. My surgery has a same day appt system, so his next appt will very likely be with another GP anyway.

Awww I'm on here more now so I keep an eye on the Birthdays....though come to think of it I had no Birthday thread either

I've watched some trailors, I'm sure I'll like it. I loved Six feet under anyway. I have no idea why it was locked earlier??

Well I'm pleased for Mark Webber but Brawn should have had at least 3rd and 4th. Honestly they ought to sort out who does their strategies because its not working at all...surely it cant be the Master of tactics Ross Brawn? I've rarely seen a three stop work...despite Ruebens fuel rig problem it still wasnt working anyway, you're always out behind a heavier car or a train of cars, so can never put the light, quick lap times in! Did you see the Rubens interview? Whilst I totally agree with what he's saying, perhaps he should have been more tactful in public and said it in private...but I suppose he was upset and angry. Loved his 'Blah, blah, blah' bit

Forgive me if there is a thread about this series already. I've just been reading about it and being as I'm a vampire nut it interested me. I wondered if anyone has downloaded it and watched season one yet? I think its coming soon to FX (which I havent bloody got ) I think I'd enjoy it as its by one of the writers of Six Feet Under.

Looking at their fuel loads, the Red Bulls should win this. Though of course rain/showers could mix it up!
