Well they did it last weekend in 23 hours and 40mins. My son, a work mate and my nephew, I cannot describe to you what a bloody exhausting weekend we all had, and I didnt climb the mountains either!! Those of you on my FB have probably seen some of the photos, the weather was terrible! I have to dash off now but will put some pics on here later.

But totally wrong! I love lots of music...there are no mullets in QOTSA, or Muse, Sigur Ros, The Foos, Radiohead, Metallica, nor was there in Pink Floyd, Led Zep and so on. Yes I love Leppard, mainly their early years, when they were one of the very first metal bands...and way before Joe had his mullet and their sound became over produced....pre Hysteria I'm talking about! -

The Beatles THe Stones THe Smiths The Jam Oasis Morrisey (hate his whiney, boring voice with a passion) Coldplay (except for a couple tracks. And Chris Martins voice live is, at best, mediocre) The Stone Roses Michael Jackson Elvis Amy Whinehouse I could go on and on and on! -
Do the GB Mens football team play today? On another note...not Olympics but someone on my FB just mentioned this.. Newcastle under 17s are playing in the milk cup in nothern ireland against a under 17s Deportivo of brazil . its live on tv 972 BBC2 Northern Ireland starts 19-00 until 22-00. hours .

I've watched Six Feet Under from beginning to end twice through. Just brilliant. Early Red Dwarf...looking forward to the new series which starts on Dave soon. Buffy Shameless...first 3 series. Sex and the city May watch Angel again sometime, Loved that but it went silly in the last series. Josh Wheddon can NEVER allow a happy ending!! Can always watch The Gilmore Girls (but that's a girl thing I think)!

Thanks Renton

That sounds like excellent advice Trophyshy, I will pass that on to my son. He does have one walking pole, but will grab another before we go.
-
Again Bianca?!

Thanks Renton. No he's done NO training at all!! He says his postal round involves 5 hours a day of up hills and steps 5/6 days a week and it's training enough!! He is fit and doesnt smoke. One of his cousins plays football, the other runs marathons but smokes and is asthmatic and his mate is also a postie but does alot of training, he is in his late 40's but probably fitter than them all! Plus he has done the Three Peaks before. But I am concerned, especially if it's hot. My son is more worried about the strain on his knees going downhill though.
-
Well a year later than planned...but my son, his mate and 2 cousins are planning to do the Three Peaks this weekend. Hubby is the driver and I'm the food organiser!! We leave for Ben Nevis on Friday, camp the night and the boys set off at 6am. And I am still worried The weather forecast is not bad, cooler than here at the moment thank goodness, but showery. Hopefully I will be back on Sunday, proud of them all and will post some photos!

I am looking forward to all the 'Tom Cruise' puns from our local media when he plays. The other day I read...'Tom Cruise is really showing his dedication to the TUFC cause in dumping his wife before the start of the new season

-
Awww I wouldnt dream of it

Yes that's right...good memory! He made his debut for Arsenal in the Champions league against Olympiacos. Then he got injured and loaned out. And now we've grabbed him, he's only 21!

I look at things similarly to you here, but it's ok to post on a forum at any age, that seems acceptable.. but things like FB and so on are more for younger people.

For ages I refused to have FB, but in the end I relented. It has been great for catching up with old friends and also some family that I'd drifted apart from. I found my old school friend (who lives in Durham now) and she has been back down and visited us all a couple times.
