Yeap ^ Used to be a fan of his, the way he turned himself into a great player as the Chelsea revolution took place, and the goals he chipped in with at Euro2004. But his performances over the last year have crap. He's only just started to pick up again for his club. The situation is a bit like with NUFC and the Duff/Zoggy issue. Lampard seems to be an automatic choice for England in spite of the useless performances. Not only is he crap on the pitch but it also means we don't get to see Gerrard in full swing.

Yes. I hate it how none of the squads are finalised until we're already 3-4 games into the season. The first day of the season used to be exciting for many reasons but also because all the new boys were on show (like in 96 with Shearer, Ravanelli and Vialli etc.. ). Now all the big signings are made on August 30th. The old system was so much better.

O'Brien certainly looked quick out there today. First time he's really been able to stretch his legs properly for the first team. There was one point in the first half when he got the ball in our half and just started galloping down the wing. Even with the ball at his feet he outpaced the WHam player with ease (whoever it was).

It's brilliant that our team's stadium is now a staying feature in both games but one thing that annoys me about the Pro Evo version of SJP (Magpie Park if you will) is how the scale if way off. The Milburn and Leazes looks flattened: giving it a far less impressive look that SJP really is. Picked up FIFA07 the other day, and our ground looks terrific! check this out: Shame some parts of the game are shit though, tackling and refereeing especially!
