An offer on dial a phone. I normally go for cashback deals but i managed to get the Xbox 360, £70 cashback and a wireless bluetooth headset on a Flext 35 contract. They scrapped that deal a few days after i ordered it and are now offering just the xbox 360 (I think) but a few of the online mobile companies offer similar deals and having checked out a few of them for a few weeks noticed that the value of offers change daily. Best just to shop around.

Free xbox 360 arrived yesterday, though due to some fuck up on Ebay I only have one game at the moment...

Lee Clark admits he goes into tomorrow's clash with Chelsea uncertain whether it will be his last game as a Newcastle United player. The 33-year-old, who has been playing through the pain barrier in the last two weeks with a hernia problem, could step back to a coaching role next season, but his playing future remains unclear. Caretaker boss Glenn Roeder has already hinted Clark may still have a playing role next season, but for now the former Fulham ace is focused on taking on the Blues in United's crucial final game of the season at St James' Park. He said today: "We have an important game coming up because we know that we can still end up in the UEFA Cup next season if we win against Chelsea. "It won't be easy. They have world class players and we have to get the right result." Clark is expected to play some part in tomorrow's grand finale against Chelsea and refused to rule out the possibility of starting next season in a playing capacity - which was always the Toon hero's plan when he returned last summer. He added: "I am very open minded about what happens next season. "We will just have to see what sort of a position we are in. "I'm not too sure on my own future - I will have to sit down and talk about things. "I also have a hernia operation to deal with after the season is finished, which will be my 13th of my career. "I have to wait and see who is the next man in charge at the club and see what he wants to do. "I don't think that staying has ever been an issue, it is just a case of what kind of role next season." The Wallsend-born player has big ambitions in coaching and has been cutting his teeth in the dug-out alongside Tommy Craig this term with the reserves. Clark has worked in Craig's shadow this season and has helped lead a young Toon second string to an unbeaten home record as well as success in the Northumberland Senior Cup with a win over Blyth Spartans in this week's final. Clark is expected to be part of Roeder's backroom staff next season, with the United gaffer full of admiration for the Geordie boy. And the former Wallsend Boys Club product is confident that Roeder is the man to bring the glory days back to Tyneside. He went on: "The manager's job for Glenn would be a thoroughly deserved appointment. "Nobody can argue with what he has done or what has been said about him." Clark left United in 1997 when Kenny Dalglish sold him to Sunderland in a decision that did not go down well with the majority of fans. However, there were no complaints when he returned to United last summer from Fulham with the player making 24 appearances in all competitions. Clark has netted just one goal - the last-gasp equaliser against Middlesbrough in January during the 2-2 draw - but it earned what could turn out to be a crucial point come tomorrow night. However, Clark revealed it has not been the only high point. He added: "If it is my last official season as a player it has been a special one. "I want to stay at the club but that has been the case since I was a young player. "This season has been fantastic and I think there has been just five or six occasions when I haven't been involved in the first team."

I know we have a habit of paying big money for crocks but Upson will be out of action for at least six months with an Achilles tendon injury and has recently signed a new two year extension to his contract. I think its safe to say he will not be a target....

WHILE Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were focusing on the scrap for fourth place in the Barclays Premiership, Chelsea were yesterday closing in on two important transfer targets as they attempt to tighten their grip on the entire competition. José Mourinho last night flew back from São Paulo after talks with Kia Joorabchian, the Corinthians owner, over Carlos Tévez, the Argentina forward, while the Chelsea manager is increasingly confident of signing Salomon Kalou, the Feyenoord striker, this summer, and a £3 million deal has been agreed in principle. Chelsea’s standard practice is to target two individuals for every position they need to fill before making their final decision at the last minute, although because of the complex nature in each case, they could end up signing both. With Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea owner, still hopeful of recruiting Andriy Shevchenko as the main goalscorer, Tévez is the primary target as a second striker, but he could prove equally expensive. The Times first revealed Chelsea’s interest in Tévez in March and although a deal is not yet complete, Mourinho’s decision to fly to Brazil before the end of the season shows the extent of his desire to sign him. After watching Corinthians crash out 6-3 on aggregate to River Plate in the Copa Libertadores, Mourinho had dinner with Joorabchian and Pini Zahavi, Chelsea’s principal buying agent. It is understood that Mourinho spent much of the dinner expressing admiration for Tévez, offering the view that Argentine players were more suited to the Premiership than Brazilians, before talk turned to the asking price. After initially quoting £44 million, Joorabchian dropped the figure to £32 million, to which Mourinho replied that he would not be the one doing the negotiating but would relay the information to Abramovich. It is believed that Mourinho also inquired about the availability of Javier Mascherano, Corinthians’ Argentina midfield player, while the Brazilian party asked about the possibility of a formal arrangement in which they could take some of Chelsea’s young players on loan. It is an indication of the close relationship between the clubs that Mourinho and Zahavi were accommodated at the team hotel. Mourinho yesterday distanced himself from Tévez while being careful to avoid an outright denial — “People can say what they like, but there are 22 players in this match worth watching,” he said — while Joorabchian maintained his public stance that his star player is not for sale. The former Boca Juniors striker has a notional £70 million buyout clause in his contract and is understood to be unhappy at Corinthians. “There’s no point naming a price as he’s not for sale,” Joorabchian told The Times last night. “He’s 22 years old, the best player in South America and one of the best players in the world. It’s not possible. For me he is irreplaceable.” Kalou will be considerably cheaper, but in other respects Chelsea’s attempt to sign him is even more complex. As it stands, the 20-year-old would not be granted a work permit in this country as he has yet to represent Ivory Coast, the country of his birth, and is trying to gain Dutch citizenship in order to play for Holland in the World Cup finals. Rita Verdonk, the Immigration Minister in the Netherlands, rejected his original fast-track application two months ago despite a personal plea from Marco van Basten, the Holland coach, and his appeal is due to be heard next week. Kalou has only lived in the Netherlands for three years, two years short of the qualification period, and his case has not been helped by the fact that he failed the Dutch language and culture test. With just a year remaining on his contract, Chelsea plan to buy him this summer and loan him back to Feyenoord until he is granted a passport.

Like most on here whilst having reservations about giving the job to Roeder if and when it happens I will give him my full support. But another concern of mine is that of the coaching set up. Much like the talk of people being happy for Roeder to be involved if he had some experience alongside him with the likes of Houllier, it appears by the sound of things that we will be lacking in experience within the backroom staff if Shearer and Clark are given the roles that are being speculated. Most other teams have a great deal of experience within their set ups with the likes of Steve Clarke at Chelsea, Alex Miller at Liverpool and even Joe Jordan at bloody Portsmouth offering years of experience at a decent level. So if rumours are to belived our set up will have no experience at all between Shearer and Clark and the "social convenor" as he was called at Celtic Park in Terry McDermott. Sorry but this does not fill me with any confidence whatsoever.

Well, obviously trophy winning managers don't work at our club. Let's try someone who has achieved fuck all instead. Incidentally, I notice Leazes doesn't mention Gillingham or Watford, where he hardly shined. In fact, iirc he got Watford relegated. Funny also how he used the poor managerial CV of Souness to condemn him before he kicked a ball (ars imo), but refuses to do the same for Roeder because he comes across as a nice bloke, and anyway, that would be criticising Shepherd. 132167 My problem in all this isn't so much the appointment of Roeder. It's the way we're having to go about it, and the nagging feeling that it's all just a prelude to the Alan Shearer Show. It's definitely been a missed opportunity but I don't buy all this business about how Roeder's a crap manager. 132171 Not crap, just average. Don't be fooled by his short reign as care taker. As has been pointed out many times, how many other premiership clubs would hire him as manager? The Shearer thing also is beginning to concern me. Of course, if true, this is entirely Shepherd's fault. 132176 It cannot be Shepherds fault tbh. Under him we are 5th best team in the last 10 years etc etc...

James Milner's agent wants the player's future to be resolved as soon as possible. Aston Villa boss David O'Leary is desperate to sign the Newcastle player on a permanent basis after being impressed by his performances on loan this season. O'Leary confirmed last week that the two clubs had entered negotiations, but as yet nothing has been tied up. "Villa and James have worked well for each other and he has been delighted with the fact that he has been made to feel wanted," said Mick McGuire. "But Newcastle are a mega club and James is still their player. "We would not want this dragging on over the summer. It should be settled one way or the other as soon as possible." Milner expressed his joy at how things have gone at Villa this season, indicating that he would favour a stay in the Midlands. "There will be a lot of ifs and maybes along the way, but it's up to the clubs first - and then me. Things have to be sorted out at Newcastle and then my future will be sorted out afterwards," he explained. "But I have enjoyed my time at Villa. I like working with the coaches at Villa and the fact there are a lot of younger players in the first team. "It has been a big learning curve for me this season and I certainly don't think I made a bad move coming to Villa. "There is also the fact my fifth season in The Premiership will be coming up and I need to be playing games. I can't afford to be sat on the bench."
