my thoughts have been made clear for a long time now, if you still don't see it, that's your problem. What are your thoughts on the post about Wolves ?

well, as we [or others, not me] thought we had a chance of a champions league place, do you think it could have been achieved if we HAD backed the manager with the entire proceeds of the carroll sale ? Opportunity missed, perhaps ? Will it come again ? Never mind, the money is safe in Mike Ashleys back pocket, hypothetically speaking of course, as it certainly hasn't been available to the manager ? Your first sentence ie the bit in bold, is everything, it says everything about the clubs. I'm not explaining this again. -
I'm pleased that when that has been directed at me by people, that you decided to police the place on that occasion too. Anyway, what [or anybody else] do you think of that post about Wolves ?

I still think twitter is just a vehicle for publicity seeking celebs, most of the fuckers ignore you. I've posted comments at a lot of journos etc, including today about SCOTTY Parker and Stuart Pearce and they still think they talk sense when they spout bollocks

Even though at that point I was a fully paid up Newcastle fan, I wanted Liverpool to win. I'm 34 and I've only really hated Liverpool fof 25 years. When they signed Beardsley tipped it for me. "only" he means he's "only" 34

I've said my piece. They spent the money received from Torres and backed their manager. As a result, they have a trophy and have made themselves a more attractive club because they are being seen to be progressive, far more attractive than a club that is going down the road as being seen as a stepping stone. If you disagree, fine, but decide if you want NUFC to compete with Liverpool or the likes of Blackburn etc. Andy Carroll [and Jose Enrique] will be more than happy they have made this move, while Mike Ashley has profited, not NUFC. But, grow up and accept the situation as it is. Because this is how it is. -

As already pointed out, this is the same DoF system at Liverpool with Dalglish and Comilli that you're praising? read the post properly. Both of you. Then grow up. -
There is a "market rate" check/audit in place on other revenue to stop that happening, that's why City got in with their blockbuster, Ehitad I think, deal before the rules kicked in, but the big IF remains. right on cue

Grow up. Answer the rest of the post. we'll see in May, and/or in future seasons who is the best policy, if the past 40-odd years isn't enough for you. In the meantime, take my advice and grow up. -

quite simply Craig, I don't view hoping NUFC set up their ambitions and try to behave like Liverpool, rather than the likes of Birmingham, Bolton, Blackburn as a parody, a negative or anything of that nature. In fact I think its as positive as its possible to be and if someone tells me to fuck off I'm quite entitled to tell them the same ? Shame this thread has gone in this direction, I still think the whole point of it is nothing more than sour grapes and a refusal to accept the truth of the situation. Carroll has made a good career move, which is why he moved, and he's got a winners medal to show for it and he's playing for a club that NUFC ought be aspiring to be like. As for any "overprice" they paid for Carroll, they also got too much for Torres, and simply re-invested the money. If Carroll moves, they will make a loss but they will still back the manager with the money from the sale. Other players they buy will improve the team and increase in value, swings and roundabouts but at the end of the day, they signal their intent and make themselves an attractive club and increase the chances of more success as a result. It's absolutely staggering that NUFC supporters are mocking such an approach. -

I'm very surprised at this. I thought you had more sense. At the end of the day, Liverpool are moving forward and proclaiming their intent, while we are doing the opposite, everybody knows our best players can be bought. And if Liverpool sell any of these players for less than they paid for them, they will allow their manager free reign to spend the entire amount from the sale, the same as they allowed the sale of Torres. The difference in outlook between the 2 clubs is so obvious, its almost shameful that people are defending it. I really don't know what to say. Is it blind optimism, sour grapes, or sheer stupidity ? Nothing to do with Liverpool's intent or their attitude, or ours for that matter. It's my opinion that is too much for those players. I am not commenting on the relative approaches by either club. If you don't know what to say then how about shutting the fuck up for once in your life? it is everything to do with the attitude and approach of the 2 clubs, this is the entire core of this whole debate, and every other debate that has came up concerning the ambitions, targets and expectations of NUFC. I think if you can't control your sour grapes, then you should shut the fuck up because you and others are making yourself look like the childish, blind, 2nd raters that you are. Accepting that we have no chance of challenging Liverpool and rejecting their approach to how things are done in spite of their success spanning over 40 years. Give me strength, how fucking stupid is that ? No wonder people laugh at us. The fact that you think it is "too much" is irrelevant. Liverpool think it wasn't, and they now have the trophy in their trophy room, and will without a doubt build on it rather than sell their best players and not back their manager as they go looking for more trophies and more european qualifications. Whatever the cost, whatever the loss on a player, whatever the profit on another player. They will back their manager and build on what they have started. They have made their club massively appealing again to other players, unlike NUFC who will be looked on as a stepping stone. Live with it, deal with it, this is the truth. Accept it, and grow up. -
