Carroll`s career so far in Liverpool
LeazesMag replied to Lake Bells tits's topic in Newcastle Forum
What does the league table say at the moment? Doesn't it say something among the lines of European qualification? Something that we achieved numerous times under FFS. eerrr....that's right. And the Champions League too, courtesy of these despicable trophy signings. But who is talking about FFS, who never owned the club by the way. -

What does the league table say at the moment? it says we are having a fairly decent season so far. Nothing more, nothing less. Are you one of those who thought the season ended in November, and one decent season means everything is just wonderful at the club ? -

indeed, league positions and champions league/european qualifications is fairly straightforward stuff, laid out in the form of a league table after 38 games, over many years. Even a kid can understand that, or ought to. Do you have to make every post an insult, you cunt? no. Unless you think league tables are a figment of the imagination. -

it could be worse, it could actually be someone endorsing the aims of NUFC as being the same as the likes of Bolton, Blackburn, Stoke etc all the 2nd rate premiership clubs which sell their best players and consider premiership survival as success. Are you not capable of having the piss taken out of you and responding in kind? If only you'd have called me a cunt and told me to fuck off, we could have all moved on and got on with this thread, but instead you've converted it into another Mike Ashley Euro thread nightmare. Get some new patter, man! I've been laughing at certain people on here for a good few years now chum. Cunt. Fuck off. -

Unless we pay someone to take Ba, we won't sell him for less than we paid for him. Correct, the likelihood is we will sell them on for more than we paid for them and then fail to give the proceeds to the manager to invest in the team. Thats why we will never realise our potential under Ashley and thats why teams like Liverpool will continue to win trophies far too simplistic for some, that is. Predictably, the initial objection was raised by one of the idiotic Newcastle Online cretins. -
Cool story, got any more? he was at the game, he always is

spoke to him on Saturday.

ah, and sensible investment in football is dead easy, in fact everybody else in football did it except NUFC under the old regime, and the new regime has decided not to even attempt it, and is keeping the bulk of the cash from sales rather than help their manager to attempt it, so that's OK then. Meanwhile, as - according to some on here - we were/are in with a chance of a Champions League place, just think what could have been if they had even thought about attempting it. A little bit of speculating may just have accumulated, but we have no chance of matching Man City's spending, so whats the point in trying to match the likes of Liverpool and Spurs ? Liverpool did and they look doomed to fail in their quest for 4th, Spurs on the other hand are odds on, they have also done it without breaking the bank. That's what we should be aiming for aye, of course, Liverpool aren't looking to do it too. Make sure you don't tell anyone your secret aim, in case they think of it first.

I'm not and never have been interested in any particular personalities, they are irrelevant, I only noticed that you have - at least, finally - got the basic idea right. My initial point was made about Arsenal. We, on the other hand, will not post profits of £50m. I only answered that one particular point, with no reference to personalities. To repeat, my views [unlike those of other people] are not tainted or governed by whether or not I "like" somebody or think they are a cunt. It just doesn't matter. They either do right for the club and/or have the good and ambitions of the club at heart, or they do not.

why do people put Owen down as their example of "failure" ? Ba, Tiote and Cisse will all be sold for cheaper, and so it will go on. One day, people like you might just wake up. Doesn't answer a single thing in my post You may as well have gone on about Muslims or something... hang on, don't! Why did you deliberately ignore the good players we have signed and start comparing Perch and Obertan to Carroll, Enrique and Bellamy? omg Why do people harp on about "trophy signings", when we never signed Messi ? Would people not like Messi to play for Newcastle ? After all this time, you STILL don't get it -
He's got ability, but nothing went right for him on Saturday. Ultimately, he's an enigma, and these sort of players are always difficult to accommodate. On another day, he could have scored the winner out of nothing. Thats how it is with players like that.

you won't find any posts from me saying that chum, I was one of the few people who didn't actually think it was beneath us when others took a champions League place for granted, insisting that "anyone could do it now", the fundamental reason why the team that only finished 5th was booed. What do you think of those ex Newcastle "trophy players, troublemakers and overpriced players we are better off without" who won a trophy with Liverpool yesterday ? -

I think I said that when Spurs won it - out of pure spite. I'd fucking love to win it. exactly. Only an absolute fool would say otherwise. -

shame about all those trophy players Liverpool bought mind. Still, you know best Carling cup is a tin pot trophy. You think Liverpool will be happy with that and a 6th place finish given the level of investment? It took them 120 minutes and penalties to get past a mediocre championship team, they are closer to us than they are to City and Man U. The way you go on its like they are Barcelona. It's their first trophy in 6 years they were happy enough yesterday. People have said "we won nowt", I'm pointing out that "trophy players" actually pay dividends or perhaps you would like to swap the likes of Perch and Obertan for the return of Enrique and Bellamy or Carroll, as you think our setup is "better" ? We will never match the likes of Liverpool and Spurs again, until we attempt to do things in the same way they do. -
crikey. I think you've mistaken my criticism of the previous board and an endorsement of the current owner. You were wrong. I'm not and never have been interested in any particular personalities, they are irrelevant, I only noticed that you have - at least, finally - got the basic idea right.
-
I never mentioned unlimited funds. I was making the point that if consistently sell your best players and don't reinvest the remaining funds then you will go backwards as a club. You disagree with that? crikey.
