I'm a complete wimp when it comes to shaving so went electric years ago - the Braun/Panasonic ones are too similar to wet shavers for me in that they are used straight up and down so I've stuck with Phillips 3-headed rotary ones. Last couple have been ones you can use wet or dry.

Poor cunts might get Pardew. -
I think Trump's advice to him was to be as much of a cunt as is possible and beyond as that worked for him - seems to have taken it to heart.

A lot of the problems with the city like networks built on the old school tie are all part of the the same problem - deference to inherited wealth and privilege. You didn't go as far as the usual cliche in suggesting a president Blair or Thatcher but there are countries which do ceremonial heads on state with a decent level of dignity like Ireland and Germany. I accept it would be a shit show here to some degree but it would still be better imo.

Just one per flight would do. I guess it would be easier to train paramedics to point at exits and smile.

Israel continues its merciless pounding of the defenceless.

Any other country showing such open contempt for the UN would probably face sanctions. -
I think all flights should have proper medical kits and crew should be trained to paramedic level - no more Airplane scenarios. It's quite surprising Carrie Fisher has lasted this long - she's had a hard life but always seems to have coped with it with good humour. I hope she pulls through.

Consumating a marriage with a nine year old? I get your point about the times and there were certainly young (usually puberty based) marriages but nine is a bit out there.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Despite my ultra cynicism, I can't help asking why nobody has raised someone who at worst is corrupt and at best proven unethical waltzing back into a job with barely a word said.- 10610 replies

I think he was fucked between what he actually wanted to say and respecting agreed party policy - if he'd done a Blair and laid down the party's position from on high he'd have been slated for it so ended up being half-arsed. I agree overall its because he's a bit shit.
-
Yes he's obviously a bellend but I'd argue anyone who finds a penis offensive/doesn't see the funny side is pretty sad as well.

Talking of Star Wars, just flicking through the sky channels and saw a nice scene with the kid and Natalie Portman and remembered how creepy it is that they get together. Nowt wrong with a ten year gap between couples but meeting when one is ten is a bit iffy.

As I said when he was appointed, being an advocate for privacy is all he's really known for which made it a bit strange.

When I lived in shields I knew a lad who went everywhere with them who always said he hated Mackems as in people from Sunderland itself.

My point is the main rule is insults. Assuming guilt, both broke it but the racist element rightly makes it worse for one of them. I'd say it would be fair if it was a 1 or 2 match ban for the other. Also I know I'm not PC but I'd have more respect for the wolves player if he'd lamped Shelvey rather than going crying to the FA.

It's interesting that the rule is insulting words then it's been enhanced by a sub-rule regarding ethnicity or race. If as alleged shelvey responded to being called a bald cunt then surely the wolves player broke the rule as well.

Burton Albion v Newcastle United - Sat 17th Dec @ 15:00

Radio streams a minute behind - watching SSN on mute and goals popping up before hearing them. -
I think Menzies Campbell quit as liberal leader when polling showed he was a failure which you could call brave in that context. Trouble is Corbyn seems to be a stubborn bastard on that score. My worry would be that if he did go, the candidates willing to stand would either be unimpressive or unable to count on any support of the new members leading to Eagle/Smith calibre runners or worse Diane Abbot. It's a shitstorm really.

Placebo at Wembley arena tonight - excellent as usual.

Probably mirrors how wolves were domesticated to produce dogs - they'll be on leads in 50 years.
