Dishonest cunt - no wonder Greece is fucked.

The leaked online payslips that have appeared for various people are all PAYE. Footballers wouldn't meet the rules for limited companies - for example you have to prove you can supply a substitute (no pun intended) of equal skill if the person is unavailable.

Tbf to the cunt, Owen did well for us until he broke his foot. Still despise him for his off the field "presence" though.

FO/diplomatic bollocks means kowtowing to all sorts of dodgy fuckers - the Saudi king being a good recent example. I'm not going to get offended by a kid that age playing around prewar - especially under the influence of relatives everyone knows were full on Nazi supporters.

When I went to our games n the US in 2000, I remained standing for the two anthems out of good manners in someone else's country more than anything else so I think on that basis I think he's slightly wrong. Overall however I made a point of sitting down at the cup finals when GSTQ was played as I did when it was played at SJP for the royal deaths. I don't think I will ever stand for it again given the slightest choice.

The BBC aren't perfect bastions of truth though - they towed the state propaganda line in their coverage of Orgreave and Hillsborough for example.

They are very pro-establishment which can annoy both sides. I think the tories see it as a probable defender of the NHS which is why they want to diminish it for their coming war.

Caught two seconds of Netanyahu on TV and the cunt's not happy.

It's sad when you really have to ask them why the fuck they joined the labour party - that Kendall especially.

National Insurance privatisation.

Whereas I think he's only a cunt in this thread. Outside of it he's a likeable idiot.

Market forces driven by cheap labour will increase living standards how exactly? I'd also say the help to buy scheme was massive interference in the economy by the Tories.
-
£2000 to someone on that level of income isn't "rebalance" - its destitution.
-
As an aside on that graphic, the self-employed bit is bollocks - contractors who work through a limited company have been massively screwed - this will encourage more to go down the full-on tax avoidance route involving Jimmy Carr type schemes.

As I said above CT, you're half way there on tax credits. It is businesses taking advantage of a well intentioned temporary measure for too long a period but you can't just drop them and leave poorly paid people in the shit without ensuring their pay goes up to compensate. It's clear the sums left people short so his much vaunted "rise" is clearly inadequate.

It's a good point that they didn't think that landlords would increase rents to cover tax which makes them stupid or they did realise and knew that would wipe out any gain on pay for a shit load of people which makes them cunts.
-
The worst thing about budgets is they illustrate perfectly Kinnock's line about "How will this affect me?, how much better off will I be?" - the complete increase in selfishness and lack of empathy comes down to one thing - 35 years of Tory rule.
-
And exempting under 25s from their "living wage" increase as well. I know they think they can do it because that age group don't vote but they might do eventually.
-
The way they push the message that anyone who works is fine and anyone who claims benefits is subhuman despite the overlap is fucking sickening. That's before you count well off people closely guarding child benefit.
-
Why the fuck would they increase welfare and the public sector when the entire purpose of the cuts was to reduce them forever? The only sweeteners will be higher rate tax cuts.

They were meant as a short term measure to reduce unemployment by making low pay jobs viable and it worked. The problem is businesses have taken the piss by using them to keep the wages they pay low. Firms like Tesco when they were making 4bn a year still paying close to minimum wage is a disgrace especially given their cash reserves. What should have been done is to raise the minimum wage by loads - 50% off the top of my head - yes it would probably cost a few "jobs" at firms taking the piss and maybe even send a few businesses down the pan but I'd take that to see the vast majority of firms who can afford it being forced to pay something a bit more decent. Overall the economy would benefit.

I read a thing post crash which said a one-off 10% tax on all non-property wealth over £1m would clear the deficit - and of course since then that wealth will have gone up by just a little bit more than 10%. On the scale you're talking about I'd close down the channel islands and the british virgin islands and confiscate all the money there - the only reason to have it there is tax evasion.

If it bites they'll find a way around it.

Comparing the UK with Greece is like comparing some fucker with a clue and you.
