I've always thought he was a prick but a mildly entertaining one - the thing that gets me is its another example of people relishing taking offence at something and forgetting that a) we should be free to say just about anything and a lot of humans are pricks.

Anyone else feel they should get a semi at the thought of a Woodgate/Collocini partnership? Or would two cool bastards together not work.

I never watch Football Focus but just happened to see the last 2 minutes yesterday - he was on with McCallister and seemed his normal self. Now I can't help thinkling if he was sitting there being as amiable as ever with this on his mind. When I first saw the headline I thought it was going to be one of those out of the blue heart attack jobs that healthy blokes sometimes suffer from - suicide never crossed my mind for an instant which makes it so much harder as I've said on here before that I tend towards the harsher view of such things. I would however echo one aspect of Barton's view in that I always feel they should be preventable and it seems like a failure somehow when it does happen.

For no apparent reason I decided to download and skim through The Human Centipede at the weekend. I thought the scene where he explains to his victims what he's going to do was probably the "best" bit in it and a bit thought provoking in a "I'll bet there are psychos out there who would really do that" kind of way. Not sure why but even just skimming through it sort of disturbed me quite a lot - just something about it got to me.

It must be something about the region because I've noticed that depsite being good for only 5 minutes their fans have a Man Utd type arrogance which grates. Caught a bit of Anglia news earlier which featured Ipswich's financial results. Basically they lost 10m but the sales of Whickham and Walters meant they broke even give or take. However the "fuck me" moment was that have debts of £66m - they are another club which only exist because of a sugar daddy.

I never even realised Gordom McKeag was dead. For what its worth they were small-minded men but its not as if other clubs were any different - comparing them with the Moores which LM has done in the past is ridiculous considering their relative wealth. No club thought of "exploiting the fanbase" to any great extent as nobody bought strips and matchday/TV income was peanuts. The richer clubs were only marginally so and the secret of success was always good management combined with that marginal weatlh differential. The idea that McKeag or Seymour could have "backed their managers" without recourse to personal wealth and with no such thing as the easy credit of the last 20 years pre 2008 is nonsense.

Chilly but it could be worse. I had a new oven oven and hob installed at the end of last week but didn't notice until Sunday that my central heating is off and I have no hot water. Recalled the bloke who did the job and it turns out the pilot won't re-light and he's stumped. Had to call the bloke who sorted it out last time but he can't come till Wednesday. It gave me the excuse to go to the gym before work this morning and I'll have to do the same tomorrow and Wednesday so quite a good kick up the arse in that respect. Last time it was fucked it was a February and I had no heating for a week and a half - I was the proverbial pensioner - wrapped up but wanting to die.

The way Ebay sends you reccomendation emails which consist of examples of the same fucking thing you've just bought in the last week - I bought one of the fuckers - why would I need another one? See also Amazon personal home page - same thing.

Actually a good point on the Sunday Supplement from Andy Dunn - anybody in charge of a sponsorship budget would get a great deal if they bought the rights and renamed it SJP.
