  1. Here's one for Stevie given his email history. Just spoke to an agent and got the spec through for a job she wants me to be put forward for - at Freshfields law firm Looks decent but the salary is not quite up to the mark - might still go for it though.
  2. I'm sometimes guilty of that. Noticed at the weekend that 3 or 4 of the SSN presenters say "sickth" instead of "sixth" - fuckwits.
  3. I think that's an excellent post in general but I would pick up on this bit - you've already identified the factors which apply specifically to many Muslim countries in that young men are horny with little outlet because of the restraints so I think the "Could have happened anywhere" view is a bit naive.
  4. Newcastle United - 1904 to 1911 - fuck the rest.
  5. Problem for me was that as the blackberry is from work I can't sync with outlook on my home PC - might apply to Stevie. Eh? Isn't the Blackberry principally an e-mail machine? Seems extraordinarily shit if you can't have multiple accounts. Work security policy means just work email account is accessible. It's swings and roundabouts - I've basically had a completely free mobile for 5 years so any limitations are fine - I bought the new personal phone in anticipation of leaving.
  6. Problem for me was that as the blackberry is from work I can't sync with outlook on my home PC - might apply to Stevie.
  7. You need to enable bluetooth on both phones then there's an option to export or import contacts. It can be a pain - transferring from my work blackberry to my new HTC took a few goes.
  8. I'm pretty blatant in my abhorrence of all religions but that's a tad simplistic imo - religions are mysoginist/patriarchal because that's the way most societies have been so religions as the man made control mechanisms that they are refelect that. Unfortunately a feedback loop in poorer countries amplifies the culture/religion mix until things like FGM can't be identified as belonging to one or the other - in reality they belong to both.
  9. Unfortunately for the Mackems, Bolton, us and anybody else, Liverpool putting someone semi-competent in charge means the top 6 is pretty much set for the rest of the season imo.
  10. I'd have Felliani, Cahill and Distain like Stevie - for the squad if nothing else.
  11. The praise is fair enough but it should take into account how shit they were - which of course is why we "should" be beating them and their ilk given the decent players we have. Last night was very similar to the Blackburn and Mackem games and to a lesser extent the Fulham game - looking comfortable defensively and dominating the midfield. The difference last night was better final balls and two good finishes - obviously those players can do it but need to either do it more consistently (this season at least) or be replaced.
  12. FFS - answering emails and switched on late and missed it.
  13. Anecdotal of course but the last time I interacted with the NHS was when my Mam died (4 days waiting by her bed) and they were absolutely fantastic (though one of the nurses was a tad arrogant so I told her so).
  14. Same could be said for the Mackem game and a few other games where chance creation/taking has let us down. Not just the shit strikers's fault - need better service as well.
  15. I thought that at first but now see it as his "natural" accent and it seems strange seeing him in Blackadder etc
  16. Amanda Tapping's "English" in Sanctuary.
  17. Anyone see the cunt on Goals on Sunday? Had to switch it off when he started talking about us - "I went there to re-establish them as a footballing club" = football murdering shitbag that he is.
  18. Yes - a bit different to walking round in something that's just wrong
  19. Call me childish but I never have and never could wear anything red and white.
  20. Too many shit players mixed in with the good. Sad fact is the 35m (as if it will be anyway) needs to be spent on 4 strikers and 2 wingers and that's not counting replacing Tiote and Enrique. If we do stop up (5 points gap but I think we will) next year is going to be tougher.
  21. Not better than Clichy, Cole or Evra.
  22. I'd agree with the bit to the north and east of the green belt next to the river being Orient but because of that gap I'd guess anything south of Stratford and the built up area to the east of that through and to the north of Plaistow is more likely West Ham. I'd also say its a bit of a push to compare Orient and West ham fanbase wise because as I said I'd guess Orient are very local - if people are going to be brought up to support Orient now, I can't really see that changing just because of the stadium.
  23. I'd have thought Orient's fans are pretty local to Leyton and tbh Stratford itself is close-ish to West Ham. I've always thought Hackney tended to be more Spurs territory but that could be a generalisation based on the prevalent skin colour as well.
  24. I don't understand the economics - even if they sell Upton Park (shit area) I can't see them getting that much for it as they need a 40m loan from the council. They've also said they'll charge next to nowt in an attempt to fill it but 60k x £10 say is less than 35k x £30. I can't see that many boxes being filled either. They're also gambling that 60k (if they ever get that) will generate a better atmosphere than Upton park - a huge leap of faith given the track.
