To be fair the Spuds are going to have more transfer pull at the moment, they're in London, they have UEFA Cup footy next season and a manager who's recently been seen as successful in Europe. As much as it upsets me to say it we need to have a good season next term through buying lesser know players if we're to try and catch them up.

Aye good chance they will pip liverpool next season if they. Last season the spuds were hampered by their awful start. Like it or not, they are ahead of us at the moment and I dont think the table gave a true reflection last season. Remains to be seen what happens to our squad of course. But at the moment, I can see them pushing quite well. Everton maybe as well if they can keep going as they have and make a couple of additions. Liverpool we know seem to struggle top 4 (by that I mean never seem to be in the race at the end). Portsmouth Im unsure about, as well as Villa. Still, thats the group we need to be in amongst next season.

Spuds will have to do well, they'll must be coming up on us in wage bill and eclipsing us in transfer fees.

Well we didn't do well and we survived :nufc:

Aye, if it was just down to spending we'd have been a lot better off.

Spurs are reaping the benefit of sound financial planning over the last few years.

Our wage bill is also relatively low in comparison to turnover (45%) which is eclipsed by West Ham, Arsenal and yourselves.

We dont have an endless pot of cash but shrewed transfer dealings over the last few years have ensured we are doing alright.

Dos Santos is a very promising player, as is modric but as we all know nothing is guaranteed in this life, we may not end up in fifth....

We may get fourth :scratchchin::nufc:

Seeing as he's highlighting rumours from The Sun, he's also clearly highlighting that he's totally out of touch with the City of Liverpool...

Why not support your local team? :nufc:

Er... currently you're 1 place above us. Big spending this summer might help you, but equally you could find yourself in a very similar position to this season, and if you're not careful in a similar financial position to which the last board left us.

Fifth 2 seasons on the bounce and a cup in the cabinet this year. Anyway, that wasn't my point.

The reason we have money to spend is we sell out pretty much every game, we have a sensible wage ceiling 50K/week (and thats just for the big boys) and very little debt to service.

Now we have a half decent manager in place hopefully we are going places.
