In fairness the likes of Arshavin was cloud-cuckoo-land, and maybe even Turan, if we're under budget constraints. The whole thing being made worse by a lot of other clubs going mental with spending.

The Pablo Aimar rumour's suffacing on SSN again today, that'd be nice.

Story in the Sunday Sun with quotes from his agent saying we enquired and he wants to talk to us again.

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle...79310-21130525/

Aimar was linked to us in the Argentine press yesterday, the fee was quoted to be around 8mil euros. According to them Panathainakos are "leading the chase" with Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund also interested.

I woul love it as it would increase the interest here in Newcastle, alongside Tevez's Man U and Mascherano's Liverpool, Argentines apparently own their foreign teams.

You'd have to hope we'd be competitive against those clubs.
