I wouldn't pay the price they wanted for their 'specialised' wireless adapter the pack of bastards they are. They used to have a decent 'anytime' channel but have made it via internet only to sell their own adapters. :(

Can you not use the wired adapters that work through the house's electrical wiring? I've got a set of them, I must try them out later. They're only about 20 quid.

Gemmill

Aye you can cos that's what I use. If they don't automatically work, get them working on your PC first and then try them on your Sky box.

That seems to get them to learn your network or something.

I followed Gemmils advice and never looked back. :)

I bought a set once and couldn't get it to work, not sure if it was lack of perseverance/temper or the fact that I looked into it and there was warnings from some that they don't always work in certain buildings. (Mine had an extension built on before we bought it and the bloke who built it had his electrics all over the shop). I might try again but with another make/model as it would be the ideal solution. I actually tried an ethernet tacross the floor/carpet o see if it would work but my sky box wasn't having it, I looked on sky's website and apparently there's only so many sky boxes that on demand will work on?! Mine is an amstrad and hasn't had the upgrade yet. Sky supplied the box it wasn't bought independently! Tried to then watch it online through my smart tv but it wouldn't stream it saying I needed something to this and would I like to download it? I tried but the tv said 'no'. Some fucking smart tv, (ewerks definitely right on that score). Looks like I can only view it on my home pc instead of relaxing on mien kampfy chair. Fucking technology man!

If you have a laptop then just connect it to the TV via the HDMI out. Job done.

I'll just go with this, didn't know it was done via an hdmi lead but had a quick on how to do it through an intel video. (Also sorts me out for the football too!)

Cheers! :good:

Hope CT at least has the decency to wash Gemmill's 'plugs' before giving them back after he's used them in his bedroom.

Watched one episode of the IT Crowd for the first time ever last night and loved it. Is it worth starting from the beginning?
