Would like to see the Dutch do it. They and the Germans have come through the two biggest tests Arg and Brazil, achieved in different ways, as in all games are different anyway.

Holland v Germany final for me - both teams have been the most consistent throughout the tournament IMO.

Spain have struggled to get out of second gear and the performance of Torres during this world cup is comparable with that of Rooney.

Just don't know what to make of Uruguay - they've had a relatively straight-forward campaign thus far but in the Netherlands, they're coming up against their toughest test yet and I simply can't see them winning it.

Hoepfully Holland will walk away with the trophy on Sunday.

Uruguay also have Suarez missing and a few others out / doubtful (including the centre-half / el capitano).

Mascherano was mostly solid for Argentina even in the thrashing from Germany, apart from that errrr......not many spring to mind De Jong's been pretty good.

Why do the Germans hate the Dutch btw? I get the other way round but not the German spite towards Holland. Is it just because they were once German? (or Saxon or whatever)?

It might be because the dutch are even more arrogant than them. I think if you were having a World Cup of arrogant cunts, the last four would be Italy, Russia, Holland and Germany.

There's more Premier League players in the finals than from any other country.

Over 100.

It's difficult to come up with any that have been any better than 'solid', and only a few have managed that.

I hope a client looking for a phone number didn't get a tirade about the Dutch by accident...

Who has really shone though? Ozil & Villa, possibly Klose. Forlan?

You're linguistically gifted to say you went to St Mary's. I really had never encountered that word before.

Which players in general?

A couple of the lads off Ghana, Annan and the winger.

Most of the German team.

Forlan has been superb.

Did we get knocked out in the quarters?

I'd say that they havent individually shone, they've played like a team. A couple have stood out individually.
