I understand there's obviously a massive humanitarian need for help but as one of the world largest and richest economies, shouldn't their government be footing this bill? You can argue any one charity has greater need than another, the economy may have been booming but if you look at the amount of people who have been affected by this I would say any immediate aid is a worthy cause.
