Also just seen somewhere called The View in Tynemouth. Looks lovely for Breakfast/ lunch.  Is it good?

Nowt special imo, but if you can get one of the tables with a better view then that goes some way to making up for what I thought was just OK quality and service.

Ended up at the harbour lights in South Shields which is a traditional pub that mainly does food. (And is the No1 place in Shields according to tripadvisor!

Busy day jet washing the patio other garden bits and bobs in preparation for the arrival of this years garden furniture

And as I made fabulous salt n peeper chicken and chips last night, really just wanted plain grub.

Pie of the day (corned beef) for me and mince and dumplings for the wife. Very nice and much better than your normal pub grub. :)

You should try the Beehive actually. In Earsdon. That's good pub food and they've got a dog friendly room and country footpaths surrounding it.

You'll probably need to book cos the dog room is only small.

Cheers. Yeah, used to love the beehive in Summer sat in the beer garden. Always thought it would be lovely to visit without kids so good shout

Yeah, I went a while back and  living off the ‘view’ would be my take. Bit naff food and service.

South Shields is north of Newcastle city centre. Cardiff is further east than Edinburgh. Etc

There’s a brand-new pop-up just opened this week in Wideopen.
it’s called Therapists or something very similar only serves wild rabbit.

Over my head but worth noting that one of my first ever jobs as a 17 year old trainee butcher was to drive to a farm in wideopen  to collect wild rabbits for the shop
