I never said you ate pickled cabbages all day, but you have to admit Germany is not known for its food. Have you got a national dish other than sausage? And German wine is rank too. Good job the beer's good.

I find it quite amusing that Britain is famous for shit food; in actual fact we have some of the best in the world, because we have to import it. The same goes for wine - you get a better selection here than anywhere else - FACT.

The Americans always used to make me laugh when they had a go at English food. The country famous for the hamburger and hot dog and over-seasoned everything. German food is rank as well!

The only thing Americans are good at is sandwiches. FACT.

I am just curious, what German food did you eat so far...

70436

That cabbage shit and sausages. Which pretty much covers the whole range tbh.

70439

Yep, as much as jellied eel in England...

Haway then, wow us all with the depth of German cuisine. Different types of sausages still fall into the "sausages" category though, before you build up a *****wurst list and expect to get that one by me.

Well what is there? I couldn't find anything in Berlin (other than sausages), although the supermarkets were full of vile things.

There is nothing like certain traditional food. It varies very much. This cabbage thing is nonsense as the brand "national dish" is more a historical than an actual one. "Sauerkraut" was poor man's food as it could be easily stored in the pre-fridge times and consist a lot of vitamin C (that's why it was also used at sea). I think most Jorman's eat it less than once a year. It is probably mostly eaten by stupid tourists...

Nothing can beat the mediteran kitchen IMHO, but I don't think there is much difference in the vileness of "traditional" Jorman and English food.

Only snobs refuse to eat nothing but Heinz. They're baked beans ffs, not fillets of venison.

70368

I won't eat any beans but Heinz. None of your strange flavoured ones either, just plain old-fashioned Heinz beans.

Heinz Beans with Heinz Barbeque sauce added at the heating stage, with Extra Strong Mature cheddar, on toasted doorstep bread with some pringles and a massive mug of tea
