Got a new laptop and am having bother getting a full picture from kodi through to my TV. It works automatically when I put HDMI lead in, (great), but when I put the full page of kodi on the laptop the film still works on the laptop but freezes on the TV. I've tried googling this but don't seem to see any problems of this happening? In the past I was using PC and had to set it up manually on windows 7. Like I said, this all works automatically now but not as good as before. Help me you bunch of arseholes!!!

Go into device manager, find the graphics card, right click it and say update driver. Muthafucka.

Didn't update it, the settings were set to 'limited' as default, re-set it to 'full' and it appears to have worked. What fucking sadistic bastard wouldn't have normal settings as default?

Anyway, cheers for steering me in the right direction, Gemm.

  • 4 weeks later...

Bit of a late one to the party on this Kodi stuff.

Installed that Spinz stuff and all good. I installed it on my phone is it possible to stream to my TV via chromecast?

Not from within the app, works if you cast the phone screen and then open the app. But you have to leave the screen on your phone so it'll be as hot as the surface of the sun if you watch a whole film like that.

The quality of the real-debrid links is better than the top non real-debrid links. That's a straight up fact, turn around touch the ground, can't say it back. Plus you can get full 1080p links on real debrid which are a visual delight.

My tv isn't 1080 anyway so the standard HD is fine for me. And I had the same experience HMHM. Content concerns me much more than getting the absolute best quality picture and I've never found the quality increase on most HD that much better than SD so I'm more than happy with what I get from the HD links.

i still haven't got around to getting this sorted. going to cancel sky soon so need to get involved. is it still as awesome as everyone made out at the start of the thread? and is the amazon fire stick thingy still considered the best device to dump it on?

I've actually got a 1080 in me bedroom but I've never found any porn 1080 links so it's a waste of time.

Probably linked to the above, my eyesights not good enough to see the difference between 720 and 1080 so I'm not about to splash out hundreds on a new telly when the one I have works fine.

And thank fuck you're not a moderator Gem, fuck knows what state this place would be in if you were!

Depends on your expectations. If you want access to pretty much any film or tv program ever made at whatever time you want to watch them, it's first class. If you expect live tv to come through at the same quality and reliability that you get from Sky, you're going to be disapointed.

Other than football and Cricket, I barely watch any live tv anymore and I never paid for the sports channels anyway so it's perfect for me.
