Toonpack 12702 Posted yesterday at 16:47 Share Posted yesterday at 16:47 In other news, orange paedo's big beautiful bill includes a small increase in the budget of ICE up from $4.5 billion to $40 billion, an amount which is greater than the US Marine corps budget. SS/Gestapo anyone ???
Rayvin 6719 Posted yesterday at 18:45 Share Posted yesterday at 18:45 They're banning British rappers from Glastonbury from entering the US now. I suspect I'm currently banned from entering ffs, if they ever tied this place to me as a person. Ironically probably not banned from Israel... SS/Gestapo anyone ??? By my calculations, conservatively, that's $2000 tax money for every adult in the US. That's more than the cost of a McDonald's saver meal EVERY DAY. They are batshit.

Wonder if they'll have showers.
Rayvin 6719 Posted yesterday at 19:26 Share Posted yesterday at 19:26 I know we talk about fascism a lot and the word probably does get thrown around too easily but for real, at what point is it actually fascism?

If you've read Shirers "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" the US is re-enacting it, here we're not as far into the book as they are, but there's time yet.

Rayvin 6719
You know one interesting thing in the subject of Iran is how progressive they are on trans rights. They recognise gender dysphoria as a mental condition wherein someone is born into the wrong body and support gender reassignment, even with state subsidy. Legal documentation is apparently also updated to reflect this on official record. The Ayatollah himself decreed this. That makes them more progressive on trans rights than the current US government But also its just kinda funny to imagine given how we perceive them. Its worth noting mind that they dont have such a positive relationship with homosexuality, and seem to confuse the two things in some quite problematic ways. But still i found it interesting and worth sharing since they were brought up.

I'm sure they do on many levels but the actual legal situation I googled repeatedly because I didn't believe it either. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_rights_in_Iran Not perfect by any stretch but also not what I expected personally.
Dazzler 13199
I’m willing to bet that there’s a massive dollop of homophobia involved in their pro-trans stuff. It’ll be seen as better to be born in the wrong body than to insert yourself into someone with a similar body.

That sir is pure poetry. If i said you had a similar body would you hold it against me?

But still though, it's an Islamic theocracy that supports trans existence on some level It's just wild to me. Maybe we really should regime change them tbh, their government is an anachronism relative to their people.
