PaddockLad 22427
Have I to take it that, seeing as our game today is being televised, we'll be subject to the vagaries of this frankly fuckin awful technological shit fest?? ewerk 39152
Ffs. It’s been in use for a matter of weeks. Give the refs time to get used to it and improve it.

I disagree, we might actually get some decisions in our favour. How many penalties should we have had over the years ? What about unfair sending's off against us ? ( the two against Forrest spring to mind ) We are always moaning our tits off when we don't pens etc maybe we might actually get some correct ones our way ? The two sendings off v Forest didn’t cost us anything in the long run though. If there’s a match changing decision decided in our favour via VAR today am going to look fuckin stupid like, but am just against it in principle on matters of opinion. No matter what view you have of an incident it just comes down to one persons opinion as to whether to refer in the first place or whether to intervene from a shed somewhere near Wembley. Yes, sometimes decisions like pens are often one persons opinion but goals given when clearly offside ( or handball etc) those are game changers that will now not happen. The Forest game didn't cost us in the long run, but could you imagine if it did, if we finished 3rd and never went up ( if we went to the play offs no way in hell would we have won that ) we would be bitter and harp on about it for years (Trelford Mills style) It will take them a while to speed up VAR and tweek it here and there, also the fans in the ground will have to be a lot more informed as the stops we often dampen the atmosphere, but for me it's a good thing. I'd say even now at it's early days VAR gets 99% of calls correct

ewerk 39152
I’d be very interested in seeing a Venn diagram of people who are against VAR and people who want blue passports back.

essembeeofsunderland 811
For the Liverpool pen,the ref watched a number of replays, decided it was a pen,yet a number of WBA players still refused to accept it.

Tdansmith 3260
I'm a fan of VAR, but after Florentina V Juventus tonight, I'm not as big a fan. Home team got a pen for handball, nearly 4 minutes later decision overturned. Meh !

Tdansmith 3260
VAR has had a bit of bad press this last few weeks. Good news for the anti VARs... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43256551
LooneyToony 41
It's not instant replay that's the problem it's the referees that interpret the rules differently, in all sports. Some refs won't call a penalty or pull out the red card if it's early in the game and other such nonsense. Some of the rules need more clarity where there is less doubt which should speed things up, but mostly the referees need to call the rules as they apply. It's never going to be perfect but as time goes on the fans will accept it.
