Fucking Minteh almost scored a cracker against Athletico this morning, we've got a fucking player there.

Every time I see his name mentioned, I can’t help but picture 8 Ace, saying “Fambleh!”

Paul George What GIF by LA Clippers You warming up to this thread wykiki?

Harrison Ashby:

Not a good week for our fella last week, came off the bench to play for 1 minute in a 3-1 victory for Swansea.

Really hope a clause was put into his loan that he will get a certain amount of minutes this season.

Garang Kuol:

Volendam finally notched their first win this season by defeating FC Utrecht 1-0. Kuol put on a solid performance and even contributed with an assist. Hopefully this will injecting a much-needed dose of confidence and momentum for the upcoming next couple of matches and Kuol will continue to add to this numbers.

Yankuba Minteh:

So, Minteh had a bit of a tough week, which is totally normal for a 19-year-old like him. Everyone goes through ups and downs in their career.

He got some game time, about 30 minutes, against Atletico Madrid, and honestly, he didn't do too bad. Almost scored a goal! But then came the game against Zwolle, and let's just say he'd rather forget about that one ASAP.

We all have off days, right? Minteh's no different. The important thing is that he learns from it and uses it as fuel to do better in the future. He's got talent and passion, so I'm sure he'll bounce back and keep impressing us on the field.

Harrison Ashby:

No One Page GIF

Feel bad for him, once again an unused sub while the guy ahead of him does nothing special to warrant Ashby getting dropped for him earlier in the season. I can only assume they want to spend the minutes on their own guy but then... Why bring Ashby on on loan. Really hope their was a minimum play time clause in this loan deal.

Garang Kuol:

Another tough loss for Volendam, and this one's a game that Kuol on the offensive end will probably want to wipe from his memory real quick. He kicked off the match on the left wing but only lasted 78 minutes before the coach subbed him out. Taking a look at the stats, his dribbling attempts didn't go too well – he was dispossessed every single time out of five tries. However, when he did get his hands on the ball, he made the most of it, although he didnt get on the ball all that much (7 out of 8 successful passes). On the bright side, his defensive game was on point, managing four successful tackles, perhaps his best yet.

Their was something to celebrate for Kuol though, as he won the goal of the month for his debut goal earlier this month. :good:

Lets have a another look at that beaut. (Start from 5:00)

Yankuba Minteh:

Minteh bounced back like a true pro, leaving that previous game in the rearview mirror and returning to his season-long trend of excellence with Feyenoord.

So, he got robbed of a goal (stupid offside call), and the assist stars didn't align either, but damn, was he on fire. He took on those defenders like it was a personal challenge (100% dribbling success), and he even served up some juicy opportunities for his teammates.

The anticipation is real – can't wait to see Minteh in action at SJP!

Harrison Ashby:

Guess what everyone?

Plotting The Challenge GIF by 1st Look

Ashby is back on the field! Shola must have gotten on the phone and told em wtf was about to happen if our lad didn't get some minutes!:good:

Started 2 games last week in the championship.

A 0-1 loss against Watford and 1-0 win against Blackburn.

Got himself 79 minutes against Watford and played the full game against Blackburn.

miVk9R0.jpg

Looks like he had 2 great games as well, looking at his stats, the biggest thing that stuck out is that in 170 minutes over 2 games, he was only ever beaten once!

Defensive masterclass.

Better keep getting minutes over that other fella, he deserves it.

Garang Kuol:

Wasn't bad, wasn't good, got hooked at half time with Volendam down 1 goal though, couldn't tell you if it was a harsh decision of the manager knows something we dont.

Volendam was able to get 3 in the second half to get the win though in his absence and moved away from the foot of the ladder

Looking at his stats for this match, honestly, Kuol should be doing more as an attacking player.

Yankuba Minteh:

Sad Pauly D GIF by A Double Shot At Love With DJ Pauly D and Vinny

Turns out he injured himself last game after putting on such a good performance.

A club statement read: “Yankuba Minteh will not be able to play for several weeks. The 19-year-old attacker suffered a muscle injury in the league match against Vitesse last Saturday."

Wont be back until till after the November internationals, big miss for Gambia who have their two opening world cup qualifiers happening.
