I'd rather see Gordon hooked than anyone else. He's the one playing in his preferred position so others have to adjust for him. It isn't justified imo. He's been terrible when he should be our main outlet. And him being on the field makes the whole system disjointed to boot.

I think the system isn’t helping gordon, usually we would have big Joe over there as well. Bruno and Toonali too stretched imo

Isak dropping wide or lower centrally because we just don't release the ball quickly enough through the center. It's predictable when you're always going out wide.

Yep. It isn't working on that side of the field at all really. Tino stepping into midfield when he's better out wide. Gordon doing similar. They're both taking turns trying to fill the space that Big Joe would be operating in and it means they're taking turns not being available out wide where they're both most dangerous. And then you have Isak drifting wide left too and that side of the pitch is just disjointed with three players who all like to run at the opposition and none of whom are particularly good passers of the ball. It's a mess.

For sure. We're most likely to get good chances from range and I'd much rather have Barnes in around that edge of the box position from the left than Gordon. Keep Gordon on the right and let him run at his opponent. Far simpler than whatever the fuck is going on at the moment.

Gordon hasn't been as bad as Barnes IMO.  But the system certainly isn't helping him.
