Hello people, been awhile. i was in my 50s last time i was here.

Should be fun at the weekend. Oddly enough your new fella looks better in front of goal than the old guy, whatever he was called. Dare i say it more like Haaland lite.

No Isak, no KDB it's a new dawn.

You're probably not making much of an impact on the average age of the patrons here tbh. I'm doing the Lord's work keeping it down.

Newcastle at St James Park is not for the feint hearted.

I know we "can" beat you but we'll have to fight for it.

Strange season for us, Like a reset button has been hit and we're having to go again. Definitely a transition period with more still to do with possibly the end of Rodri, Bernardo, Stones and Ake. And the verdict still out on many of the new guys, Savinho, Tiny Reindeer, Cherki, Gonzalez, Nunez, Marmoush (good players but various questions to be answered)

Aye, those two defeats in your last *checks notes* TWENTY visits must have really scared your lot.

I had to go check that as (sorry) i didn't believe you. I'll never doubt you again.

Maybe the period in the late 90s and early 00s when City were climbing out of the doldrums and you spanked us a few times stuck more firmly in my memory than it should.

Rodri hasn't returned from his year out injured the same player?... that's how it seems from the outside....

Not so much that he's a lesser player, more that he just hasn't fully recovered yet.

He has been picking up new injuries and needs a lot of minutes to get him back up to his best.

You can't take liberties in the PL so he's not had much chance yet.

Maybe we have seen the best of him, maybe he'll eventually get there.

Gonzalez looks to have adapted to being a 6 instead of an 8 finally. For me, Gonzalez is Gundogan's replacement.

You have a more powerful midfield than us at the moment. But then so did Liverpool last week and we found a "solution".

not sure we do at the moment - our fullbacks have a combined age of almost 38 and our midfield is dropping way too deep as a result. we're not helped by joelinton, who has been way off it for most of the season, having to babysit burn at left back. the result is woltemade drops even deeper to receive the ball than usual and we invariably give it away. you're in great form and couldn't have picked a better time to play us at SJP. we're a team in transition, missing key players and out of form in the league.

Eddie has had an extended time to work with (some of) the squad and he does fancy a tactical tweak to fancied opposition of which Man City most certainly are. The odds are still against it working, though one thing is for sure; we shalln't see BDB at LB or anywhere on the pitch.

Curious as i see BDB as a huge set piece threat due to his freakish size.

bad back?

condolences

not a bad back (well yes i've had that for years and find sleeping on the floor deals with bouts of that) but i had a fall whilst running in July and haven't been right since. Broke a bone in the hand, the costachondritis but the pain killers are for an unknown shoulder issue. its been months. hoping an ultrasound will help.  too much info maybe.

thanks

I completed my run too. Then drove home with a broken bone. Tbf i didn't realise it was broken until i went to hospital the next day. Seems you can't run everything off.
