I mentioned Notebook LM on here recently. It's a Google AI thing where you can upload documents and then ask Google about them. So I used it for some 300 page user manuals where I don't want to have to read them from cover to cover. I've just discovered there is another feature where you can get it to create a podcast from the documents you upload to it. Its ridiculous, it genuinely sounds like two people having a conversation and providing an outline of how the thing works, what the key features are etc.. You can also mould the content of the podcast to zero in on certain aspects. I know AI is evil etc, but that is honestly canny impressive.

Mine went back to who was providing my next contract. They offered considerably more for trade in than any dedicated site and it was quibble-free. Probably on account it generated future business with them but it ends up me getting it cheaper, I'm not going to complain.

Had two codes, one for the 9 Pro and one for the 9. Just used the second one to get my lass a new phone - £274 for a new Pixel 9 after discount and trade-in. BTW the Samsungs... We're trading it in early because they have a known fault where, because of the waterproofing, they can develop a difference between the internal pressure of the phone and the atmospheric pressure. When it happens it affects the phones speakers. Sound goes completely to shit - videos are unwatchable and it can affect phone call audio too. Obviously doesn't happen on all of them, but it's a known fault for which the only fix is to pop open the SIM card door to equalise the pressure. But even that's only temporary.

There's some bad reviews of the Google trade in service too. People being told their phone is damaged, getting it back and there is no damage. I've used it twice now though with no hassle - as-promised trade in price honoured both times. It probably just depends if you get the workplace arsehole checking your device.
