  1. Nothing to do with the article yesterday then? But it wouldnt suprise me if true, only a matter of time for someone to call Hughtons shit tactics for what they are! What article? Didn't know about that. My bosses daughter is mates with Smiths sister *apparently*.
  2. Probably a load of bollocks, but i've heard that Smith has had a bit of a bust up with Hughton over his tactics for the recent two away games, and will be dropped tonight, and some of the 'senior' players aren't too happy with this. Like I said, probably rubbish, but we'll see...
  3. Oh dear. Early start for the 2000 toon fans. Probably have about 500 welsh mags there though. Stopping at a mates gaff in Birmingham on the friday night for this. Bought my train tickets for the Saturday (Brum-Swansea) the other day. Got an off peak return, where I had to pick times I wanted to go. Am I right in thinking I can use any train on the day because weekends are all off peak? Think it's only the advance tickets where you have to do the exact train only.
  4. Would take him back in a heartbeat. 6 month deal with the view to a possible coaching role next season. Play him at RB, where he was excellent for us a few years ago. Very few wingers in this league have any pace, so he should be ok in that aspect, and to have someone who can actually take a FK/Corner when Ryan Taylor isn't on the pitch would be nice.
  5. NEWCASTLE United's Coca-Cola Championship home fixture with promotion rivals Nottingham Forest has been selected for live television broadcast by Sky Sports. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 27 (kick off 3pm), will now take place on Monday, March 29 (kick off 7.45pm).
  6. Exam tomorrow, so stayed in to revise. If I fail it twice I lose my job. So no brainer really. Would have been there otherwise.

  9. Belated happy birthday lads!! Score one for the Peskies for me Stevie!
  10. Where abouts will the banner be displayed (ie which stand)?
  11. Just what we need, another banner with a grammatical error.
  12. Sheff United turned him down because he wanted a £75k signing on fee.
  13. Cracking news.... THE UK's largest sports tour operator, Thomas Cook Sport, has been unveiled as the Official Travel Partner for Championship leaders Newcastle United in a three-year deal announced today. In a first with a Football League Championship side, Thomas Cook will provide Match Breaks for fans travelling to St James' Park. Match Break packages to Newcastle's home games include a minimum of one night's accommodation in a choice of hotels, coupled with a match ticket, programme and stadium tour The partnership also sees the launch of the Magpies Holiday Club, which means that fans are able to buy anything from charter flights to hotels to complete holiday packages, all at guaranteed discount prices. This can be done by calling into any Thomas Cook store - there are over 800 across the UK, including the Northumberland Street store in Newcastle, or by visiting www.thomascooksport.com. 14. Harper is a good enough Premiership keeper.
  15. Rename the stadium as St James' Park. Get rid of the sports direct sign. Rename the stands as the Gallowgate End, Leazes End, Milburn Stand and Joe Harvey Stand. Give season ticket holders half price entry to all cup games. Terminate the contract of Nicky Butt and Geremi.
  16. .com Newcastle will be backed by a sold-out away allocation of 2,850 supporters at Bramall Lane.
  17. Taylor, Coloccini and Simpson all fit. Sheff United on a dreadful run. It all points to a 1-0 home win i'm afraid.
  18. Sportswear giants adidas lead the chase to win the renaming rights at Newcastle’s famous St James’ Park. The German firm, already the Magpies’ kit suppliers, want to rebrand the 52,000-seat stadium as the adidas Arena. And to win over unfavourable public opinion on Tyneside, adidas are considering naming one of the stands after Geordie legend Sir Bobby Robson. It is understood that with Newcastle’s kit deal up for renewal next summer, adidas are in prime position to negotiate a double deal that could earn the club up to £20million. Bosses at adidas’s German headquarters have drawn up a feasibility study for what will be a controversial renaming of the ground. A German source said: “adidas feel they are in prime position to win the naming rights as they have a long and proven relationship with Newcastle. But they are aware that there is hostility to changing the name and know they will have to tread carefully.”
  19. from the scunny site: Midfielder Michael O'Connor will miss Tuesday night's home game with Newcastle United after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the 3-1 home win over Sheffield United. He was shown yellow cards in the clashes with Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City and Doncaster earlier in the campaign too. The club learnt on Monday afternoon that there is now a new ruling in place which means the player misses the next game as opposed to waiting seven days. The Northern Ireland international will be back for Saturday's trip to Peterborough United. I can't believe how grim things have got. I'm checking the Scunthorpe United website for team news, and being chuffed that a player i've never heard of is banned.
  20. You can even cut it down to individual stops. I think I got Boro to Birminham return for about 20 quid by doing Boro-Darlo-York-whatever-whatever-whatever-Derby-Birmingham all with individual tickets and the same on the return. Magic.
