There has been no sign from our owners to aggressively do this. It seems all very passive to me. If we don't strengthen this summer we'll not be in the CL next season.

I think PSR has made that even more difficult that ever. The Sky 6 will always have more money and resources than us unless the rules change. We are on progressive wave of winning a trophy and getting CL football but no-fucker wants to sign for us. If you cant build when we have the leverage then its going to be be very difficult. Having said all that I quite enjoy the position we are in. We aren't expected to win everything but we are competing - which makes things extra sweet if we do win something else.

If he does sign, I think there is very little chance of it happening before our game with them.

I think this Summer has brought some stark realisation (to both club and fans) that we cant pay the big bucks and we aren't a big draw to top players. Not even CL football can entice. Or have we just completely mis-managed the whole window ?
