Who has impressed you in the Euros

Arshavin and Pavluchenko look top class. -
I think he'd do well at Arsenal. Will certainly get lots of chances.
-
I would put a tenner on him not starting the next season. All depends on Twente's expectations probably Well they are in the Champions league this year and I doubt McClown will repeat that feat.
-
Hopefully for a huge fee Most likely but then where does that leave us? £20m in the bank but no one (decent)will sign for us because we are a mid table team with no European football that also pay shit wages (now).

True that. Imagine if one of these players is absolute world class by the age of 20 and the rest of the team is dross. He'll be off Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal in a split second.
-
Yeah, I know. It still didn't stop me going off on one!

And you rate Taylor as well. Enough said really I think he has potential and gets a rough ride on here. We pick all his mistakes apart but then I could probably do that for Dunne. One straight off the top of my head was letting Lescott get a free header in at Eastlands. Taylor would be slaughtered for that. But we tend to forget that when we only see opposing players 5-10 times a season.

I have to admit I dont rate Dunne at all.

There's no room for sentiment in football though at the end of the day. Hmmm, is it sentiment or giving the lad some time to re-capture his form after a bad inury?

When Harper has had a run, he's only been replaced by Given because of injury (IIRC), although that's only happened twice I think. The thing has really been that Given had an incredible record on not being injured as well as coming back incredibly quickly from any injury he'd had.... up until the major internal injury anyway. But we'll struggle to get better than either still. The 1st time Big Fat Samm brought Shay straight back in when fit. Apparently we got 3 bids for Harper the next day.

We are a fickle lot aren't we!? Best Toon keeper we have ever had (certainly in my lifetime). The grass isnt always greener. However, I did always think that Harper and Given in the late 90s were equally matched but Shay became better and better with games whereas Harps never got a chance. Since Harper has come in he has been more than solid (Didn't the 2 periods he got in the team this coincide with 2 good runs?) . I would start Harper as No 1 this season. If Given isnt happy about that then I would let him go and promote Krul or Forster as No 2. He has given us great service and I would give him a good send off.

O2 out in front again according to this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7446999.stm Average based on what? I'm sure Virgin's 20MB service is faster than 6.4Mbps Yup going by Virgin advertised to real speeds it'll give out ~8.0Mbps. How exactly do they test this? What happens if all the O2 customers tested are next door to the exchange yet all Orange customers are on long lines.

How is Mutu going to pay £9m pound by the way? Thats crazy.
-
Well I think that's why we waited until we saw what was going to happen with the Mutu case. He has been told that he has to pay Chelsea £8/9m due to the transfer fee they lost out on by sacking him so going by Barton's current transfer value we could hope to sue him for around £3.60.
